Jenson button After stepping back from the World Dheeraj Championship at the end of 2025, there is no ambition to return 24 hours on the basis of one-band.
The 2009 Formula 1 World Champion said that the complications involved in running the WEC hypercar class entry mean that they are not only interested in a seat for Le Mans in future.
“If you want to run in endurance, you should join the whole time,” said the button, which joined the Hypercar Field last year, which included the customers of Jota in one of the Porsches and in their factory with cadilac for 2025.
“You need to know what is happening with the car, system. Every time I meet in the car, I have to learn something different and new again.
“When you jump at the age of 44, it definitely takes you longer than the 20s.”
Button stressed in July that he was not retiring from the cockpit when he confirmed his departure from Jota at the end of his two -year contract, saying that he expects “some racing” in 2026, although not through a complete campaign.

He has now made his position clear, saying that he will not “racing” professionally and will only be “racing for fun” in the future.
Button said that from now on, his focus will be historic racing.
“I love history for some reason; this is my age clearly,” he said.
The button has a growing fleet of historic racing cars: for this season he has added a Jaguar e-type to the C-Type, once a five-time world champion Juan Manuel Fangio’s road car, and Alpha Romeo GT Junior already had ownership.
He ran the two Jaguar at this month’s Goodwood Revival, won the first win at the event at RAC TT Celebration, shared the C-type with Alex Bancomb.
Button suggested that the return to the NASCAR Cup series, in which he contested a road course and one street course event with the Rick Ware Racing Ford team in 2023, is not out of the question.
“NASCAR is very different (for hypercar), because it is very mechanical,” he explained.
“I might have done this because I could jump inside and feel what the car is doing: you don’t have all the systems, so it’s very easy.”
