Time spending time in nature does miracles to keep things in perspective. Lauren Manogian and Chris live a nomadic life between the destruction of New York City and the Gentler Paes of Peru, where they spend a lot of time in rural areas with artisans: perhaps it contributes to the spirit of peace that is a hallmark of their brand. In addition, centuries -old hand techniques and geometric patterns (whether they are related to horizontal panels of traditional ponchos or tamono tee) create a feeling of continuity with the past.
“To disappear in nature,” was the initial point for spring – and the idea of hiding from the world seems to be attractive at the time given in the headlines. You can find in nature by being inspired by “actually crazy abstract pattern”, Manogian made some of your own. Each splatter painted cotton was done by hand and thus was unique. The pattern like the bark, seen in the second look, was made with a “chaos” stitching. It was surprising to know that the back of the fasting fabric (as in 6) was very neatly geometric.
The entire collection in a sense was about order and irregularity. A strong shoulder V-silver was made in many looks, Manogian said, by laying them on a single-button waste top (look 16). The monotonity of this dress was contrasting with the asymmetry of an ivory knit dress (20 looks 20), without a minimal peat Mondrian. A knit woven with regular sections and cut into a square size fell into a undisciplined drape; The pieces of parachutes were irregular in their taut, and Manogian took advantage of the natural role of some weaving clothes. This idea was explained to the firewide, “What really handmade meant to embrace flaws.”
