The Indycar series has announced its program for the 2026 season after months of speculation. While some new additions were already known, it is noteworthy that the championship will begin with four races in March – with three consecutive weekends – as a second round, including a return to Phoenix for the first time since 2018.
Unlike the 2025 calendar, Iowa Speedway and Thermal Club will not be part of next year’s Indycar events. Mexico will also be absent, as announced earlier, and a road race in Washington DC, which was part of the earlier speculation, would not be either.
The 2026 season Sunday, on March 1, will open with St. Petersburg’s Firestone Grand Prix, marking the fifth consecutive year indication, Started its season on St. Peat, Florida’s sun -wet streets. The series followed by a joint nascar-Indycar weekend, for its first race on the “Dogleg” layout of the track again near Phoenix Racwe on 7 March.
Arlington’s inauguration Indycar Grand Prix follows on March 15, with a new 14-turn, 2.73-meal street circuit and the first collaborative event between Indycar, Dalas Cowboy and Rev Entertainment. The month ends at Barber Motorsports Park on 29 March, returning to the picturesque natural-Ilake road course for four rounds of the championship.

After a spring break, the series resumes on the prestigious roads of Long Beach on 19 April for the Ekura Grand Prix of Long Beach, which enters its 42nd edition. The traditional month of May in May will be included in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, including a road course race on 9 May, qualifying for the 110th Indianapolis 500 on 16–17 May, and in the historic “biggest spectacle” racing on 24 May.
On 31 May, summer racing with Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix is heated, followed by prime-time oval racing in World Wide Technology Reswe on 7 June. The series tested both drivers skills and team adaptibility on 21 June on 21 June and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Street, Oval, and Road Course Mixing.
After the Fox of FIFA World Cup 2026 final Fox, Borcheta Borbon Music City Grand Prix will leave till 19 July in Nashville Superspeed. The race will be under the light on the 1.33-mile concrete oval.
There will be four consecutive programs including Portland International Resway on August 9, new roads of Markham at Ontario on 16 August and a doublehead in the historic Milwauki Mile on 29-30 August.
The season will end on 6 September with the Grand Prix of Montere at Vedretake Raswe Laguna Seka.

For the second consecutive season, all 17 races will be broadcast on Fox, with additional coverage of Indianapolis 500 qualifying.

Indycar President J. Douglas Bols said: “We are going to kickstart the season in fitting fashion with four races in five weeks. Our combined weekend in partnership with NASCAR and Fox in Phoenix Raswe will not have one-miss for motorcystuble fans across the country and a rapidly in motorcyst landscape, a special festival of fearless race.”
