Tennis Star, 17, Breathing Emma Redukanu’s neck after mass ranking


American teenager Iva Juvic claimed her first WTA tour title in Guidaljara on Sunday and shot a resulting ranking. Just 17 years and 283 days of age, Jeevic became the youngest player to win a title on a women’s tour this season, replacing Mirra Andreeva, who was 17 years and 299 days when she won in Dubai.

The 17 -year -old has long been postponed as a future talent. A year ago, Jeevic was ranked in the world as number 2 junior and his junior career with some professional programs was balanced.

He won two junior grand slam titles Australian Open And Wimbledon In 2024, and then made it Debut in the main draw of US OpenWinning your first tour-level match before falling in the second round.

Now, Jeevic has declared himself for the rest of the tour. The teenager is plugging on the ITF circuit this season, as well as playing all four Grand Slam tournaments and is making attendance in some top WTA events.

And hard work was paid in Gwadaljara, where he took out the number 8 Seed Camilla Osorio in the second round before saving the brake point to defeat Victoria Jimnez Casintse in the quarter -finals.

Jeevic defeated a struggling Emiliana Arngo 6-4 6–1 in the three-set semi-finals in the three-set semi-finals.

Arngo became unwell during the match and even thrown in court. During his victory speech, Joewik said to his opponent: “” You showed so much fight and gave people a show.

“It is not easy to start on a tour when you are young … but people like Emiliana make it easy and always have a smile on their face.”

At the age of 17, Joewik also became the youngest American to lift a WTA Tour Trophy Coco goffParma’s victory in 2021.

Fellow American tennis stars Jessica pegula And Daniel colins took to Instagram Sharing photos of Jeevic for his stories, to congratulate World No. 36 on his victory.

The new-Mukut Gwadaljara Champion is expected to be in action in WTA 1000 in Beijing, which is closed on September 24, where she can continue to add to her ranking tally and try to crack the world’s top 30.
