The victory of Toronto Argonats on Edmonton Elks on Friday night has added another attractive wrinkle to its already complex quarterback position.
Nick Arbakal completed 21-31 passes for 261 yards, two touchdowns, and four interception, which were in the back winning victory, but unable to finish the calf injury in the fourth quarter after retaining the injury. Through the week 15, CFL’s leading passer -by tried to play through pain, but was unable to move properly and found himself for the final drive.

While an injury to the arbakal may seem like a perfect opportunity to re -insert the keli, dinwidi was clear that her hand would not be forced.
“I don’t think the (thought process) has actually changed. Just because we are going under Nick, we do not return the Chad – it’s not how we work,” he insisted. “We will see it, and collectively, see what we should do and make the right decision. We cannot put the Chad in the way of damage if not ready.
Prior to this week, Arbuckle was the only Argonatt’s Cuby to throw a pass on the season with 4,089 yards, 25 touchdowns and 14 interception. Geratha Dogi stepped for the last minutes against Green and Gold, with the establishment of Lirim Hazrullahu for the 48-yard game-winner, three-seconds were going for 35 yards.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Toronto late training camp after cutting by Edmonton, was listed as the third-stringer on the depth chart, but when the chips were down, the call was found on the Ruki Tucker Horn. It now appears that there is a realistic opportunity that the dose will begin next week, until the arbakal or kelly see a marked improvement in their dynamics.
“He is in CFL for a few years, and we rely on him. At that stage of the game, I said, we will just go to our base plays and we will throw another football. We started the drive with a game, which he felt comfortable and found a perfection,” Dinwidi said. “What he threw is third on our shore; it’s a big time, man. I am happy for him. In addition to Go Ball on his first play – I felt that he made a little bit, tried to be a hero, he plays very quickly – he played well.”
Dogge has started a CFL under his belt, which came in his crook year with Alks in 2023. He was 587 yards, 42–65 for four touchdowns, and four interceptions in limited action in that season, but only dressed for four matches and completed a pass during his second campaign in 2024. He was even a covated pricpt in a coveled price.
“He is an athletic child, and I have always liked him from a distance. I clearly scouted and scouted his brother (former Suskechewan QB Seth Doge), so when he came free, I wanted him in the building. He came to the prince game, first got some time, and this is a reason that we call him a roster.”
“We felt that he and Nick could help us win. Outside the Chad, other youths are growing, but they are coming in and feel confident. The child works.
Toronto Argonauts (5-8) will not have long to make their quarterback decisions, as they return to action on Friday, September 19, when Montreal Ults (6-7) arrive in the city.
