Shiva An Omkease-Style Restaurant of the Ring is an 11-Rorse Tasting Menu. Dinner can sit on the 16-seat chef counter or on a six-seat private dining table.

Local carpenter built all the underlying furniture using oak re-recurred from a centuries-old wine press, which was sour by Lajisto through the Finnish Second-Hand online marketplace Tori,
This provided adequate material to manufacture Shiii’s eight-meter-meter-time counter, kitchen shelves, a round table for private dining room, a washroom counter and various other sculpture items.
Lajisto also used Tory, which was also to find terracotta-gradient tiles that line up bathroom floors and walls.
“This approach to material sourcing, during the need for extra effort, infected the project with a layered meaning and story,” he said.
With a lot of wood offering, designer was able to keep things simple else.
Some changes were made on the roof of the walls and space, which was earlier a bakery. Instead, the surfaces were just coated with soil color in a warm “charcoal” tone.
“A warm atmosphere is achieved through frequent use of wood against a dark, textured background,” Lajisto said.
“Matt texture brings depth and tenderness to rough surface,” he suggested.
The soft lighting enhances the effect, with counters on the walls and the spotlights directed to the candleholders. Meanwhile, Shii’s private dining room has a handmade Vashi-paper lantern from Kyoto.
“The lighting design plays an important role in the atmosphere,” Locisto said. “Only what is necessary is enlightened.”
“Narrow-beams highlight each dish with a spotlight counter, while the surrounding location remains in atmospheric shade.”
The spirit of craft extends to other elements, including the linen Noron curtains natural pigments and a custom-made partition with a custom-made partition combining the matte glass and oak.
