7rtisans have announced AF 35 mm F1.8, a wide-angle full-frame prime for Sony e Mount. Although it is not the cheapest or smallest autofocus lens of its type for the system, it is appropriately price and has some good quality life characteristics that are not a more budget option.
The lens is composed of 11 elements in 8 groups, with two aspherical lenses, two high-fragmented elements and one ED element. It has an 11-blade aperture, and the minimum focus distance is 0.4 m (15.7 “).
Its body is made of metal, which possibly contributes to relatively heavy on 426g. The lens can take 62 mm filter, and 94 mm (3.7 “) is long. Its autofocus system is operated by a staper motor.
