Speaking at Sunday’s press conference, Mark Markez reported that his opposite ride styles allowed Alex to capitalize on areas where Mark himself is weak.
He said, “(this) is never easy (to accept defeat) because it is racing. I try to win my maximum and always try to win, but in the end Alex worth (this result),” he said.
“He was coming (behind some) the strange race since his hand injury. But he is the only Ducati Rider who was able to defeat me in silverstone in the race of sprint (and) he was able to defeat me today.
“He (also) he was faster than me because his strongest points are my weakest points and vice versa (also true of that). We are brothers but with different ride styles.”
