Ray Eernham Physical SRX Racing Sells Property

GMS Race Cars have bought the ‘vehicle fleet and equipment’ previously used in superstar racing experience.

The company, which is also in GMS fabrication and pre -GMS racing NASCAR Organization, Statesville, North Carolina, is now the owner of all 16 fully assembled race cars, used in the IROC Style Short Track Series that broadcasts CBS and then on ESPN from 2021 to 2023.

Ray Eernham, who co-established the series with Racing Legend Tony Stewart and long-term sports media executive George Pinee, maintained fleet over the years since his big iron garage in Murceville, North Carolina.

Evarnham designed cars before his television debut.

“These race cars were designed by Ray for an incredibly high standard, taking into account durability, instability and performance,” Cohen said. “Our team sees a big opportunity to take these vehicles into a new era, re-presenting them for premium track-day experiences, turny customer programs and special racing events across the country. Possibility is endless.”

GMS Racing has recently hired Tony Eri Junior to take care of its new late model Chassis program. This is notable because Eururi worked on a fleet of cars in Furry Race Cars during its time, which worked with SRX during his TV tenure.

“This acquisition is a major step for GMS construction,” said GMS Fabrication President Mike Beem. “Our fabrication teams are central for every racing effort, and we are excited to lead this next chapter, known for GMS with craftsmanship and pride.”

The GMS race cars did not buy any of any branding, name or broadcasting rights associated with SRX, but he was happy to give these cars a new life, which also takes it to the direction beam, cohen and eururi.

“It is incredibly satisfying to see these cars live in a new format,” said Evernham. “We made them durable, vibrant and fun-in the hands of champions or first-timer. GMS race cars are the perfect group to take that torch forward and smiles on a full new generation of drivers.”
