V8 engine offers to discuss FIA and F1 manufacturers

“We need to do it soon. You need three years, so hopefully we have something there by 2029, but fuel is also very expensive, and we have to be very careful with it.”

But when Ben Suleyum is eager to introduce the new engine formula as soon as possible, it is understood that most car manufacturers hesitate to replace the engine formulas within three years of starting 2026 engines, which are still run.

While 2026 electrical units remove with complex MGU-H element, designing and building all the new electrical units from scratches is still a very expensive exercise, which combines with the expensive development of the permanent fuel to be introduced to them.

Autosport understands that most engine manufacturers are not against the idea of ​​a simplified V8 engine, but they either feel the 2030 or original 2031 plan will be a more sensible timeline.
