With other VIPP guesthouse, the interior design center around the brand product range. Other elements were selected by Mallsgard to reflect the history and settings of the building.
Copenhagen-based designer said, “We saw a centered set of materials: wood, stainless steel, marble, plaster walls and thick pebble floors,” said Copenhagen-based designer.
“The idea was to calm and create a sense of consistency, a house that respects its surroundings and allows the history of space to create the foundation of design.”
Mølsgaard began by reorganizing the building layout, making three floors, each of which has its own character.
The ground floor, which faces a town square, acts as a reception and lounge space. The first floor is now the kitchen and dining room, which is on the roof of a roof, while a bedroom is on the top floor.
The designer said, “From the very first moment I stepped to this place, it was clear that the kitchen was on the first floor, the heart of the house became a heart.”
“I imagine guests to bring fresh yield from the square market to the kitchen for preparation and then step on the roof for dine.”
The new ladder is a showpiece of the surface place. This cast-concrete zigzag is placed in front of the zigzag cantillar wall, in front by a geometric screen, prepared by the local Metastesmith Alejandro Bersonsky.
“The ladder acts as a sculpture, combining the addiction element, almost like a piece of integrated art, binds three levels of the house together, paying tribute to local craftsmanship,” the Mallsgard said.
The first floor was planned VIPP V3 Kitchen IslandWhich combines anodized aluminum fronts with a thin surface of stainless steel.
Even on this floor, a spherical dining table is with a special version of the VIPP Kunda chair, which is upgraded in a custom pierre fray fabric that matches the green painted windows.
For bedroom suite, Mølsgaard added a custom-designed wooden bed. The round marble shower tray provides focal point, with a long stone slab location for toiletries.
In a subtle head for the surrounding architectural heritage, the walls throughout the house are painted in a warm white color that matches the exact shade of the nearby lagras ebe.
Toilets and storage areas are neatly hidden, the doors are reflected in the back of the ground and the doors in the bedroom.
“Old French buildings have a lot of mirror work,” said Molesegard. “I loved using the mirror not only for decoration, but also as a beautiful way to hide more practical elements.”
