These Austin, Texas, homeowners dreamed of a chic, contemporary enclosed suit with natural heat, but their current bathroom was anything. The dated traditional-style looked tight and strange with a dark vanity, heavy corner shower, deck tub and a misleading labyrinth of the closet and bedroom.
To open the laxity, he hired designer Samantha Bailey, who rejected the bath as a bright, well -organized retreat. A new wet room with a freestanding tub and open shower anchors the space, while a long white oak with tower storage lightens the double vanity look. Brass and bronze accents, layered neutral tiles and a striking Calakatta Vioola marble countertop texture and prosperity. The smart river of the floor plan improved the flow and connection, transformed the primary suit into a stylish, highly functional migration.

First: The bathroom is traditional bend, with cream colored walls, beige tile floors and a dark brown double vanity in black granite. In a heavy corner, the shower crowded pride, felt the entire area tight and uninterrupted. “The shower was a fun shape,” Bailey says.
Across the room, a built -in tub with matching dark finish was sitting under a window which was expected to be kept by the owners of the house. A strange step-up led the primary bedroom door. “When we came into construction, the general contractor said that we can remove it,” Belly is called.
The tub’s high-gloss acrylic design and the wall climb to the wall bring comfort and style. The existing window brings out to natural light from outside wood. The floor now has sand colors, large (24-by-48-inch) porcelain tiles with almond colored grout, a matte finish and a limestone look. “We wanted the floor to be a supporting player in space,” says Bailey.

Belly says that wall-mounted champagne bronze tap was also a customer. The Brass Cabinet draws into two sizes, while bronze and hand-rubbed antique brass scones flank dark-formid mirrors. The back wall behind the mirror has the same creamy white ceramic tile used in wet rooms. “Nothing is basic about this bathroom,” says Bailey. “All the details here are organic-dictating, and we also wanted to keep mirrors to look organic.”

A new pocket door opens on the expanded walk-in primary closet, while a slim panel door behind the shower leads to a water closet. Rotating the toilet footprint for a 90 degree large closet. “We needed to keep toilets for plumbing purposes, but it was rotated so that we could also keep the footprint of a large primary closet,” says Bailey.
