I recently moved to a new apartment, and unfortunately, television did not cut during a cordial roommate division. While my studio is not tight as my previous living conditions, but I still find it impractical to fit a heavy TV in the living area.
In my search for a suitable option, a startup called Lumi Labs reached about the test of its new portable projector, Lumi MaxThe moment I unproved it, I was impressed by how far the projector has come from my college days, when I was struggling with a dingi, who had passed through a friend who estimated a granular video on my dom wall.
One of the things I appreciates about Lumi Max is its compact design. It stands perpendicular, it is perfect for small places; It can easily relax on a shelf or can be overcome if not in use. Weight of over 4 pounds, it is much lighter than many other projector on the market. Founder camps are enthusiastic, so it is designed to fit snuggly in the backpacks, making it convenient to travel and install in outdoor settings. In addition, it comes with a carry case.
Lumi Max’s standout feature, which became available earlier this month, is partnership with Google. The projector runs by default on Google TV, which offers more than 10,000 apps, 700,000 films and TV shows, and out of the box over 800 free live TV channels. If you already have a Google account, it is simple to set it, and it contains a remote for easy navigation.
Beyond the underlying Google TV, other characteristics attracted my attention, such as autofocus and barrier avoidance features. Lumi Max can identify objects on the wall – such as pictures frames, plants, or shelves – and automatically adjust image placement. Since I have not yet put any art on my walls, I had an empty canvas to work. However, this alerted me when my chair was on the way, allowing me to be easily prepared for the best viewing experience.
The size of the display is also impressive: 40 to 120 inches, and it is combined with 1080p full HD resolution and 4K UHD compatibility.
Another pleasant surprise was the sound quality. Lumi Max has two 5W speakers (providing total audio output of 10W), and Dolby also has audio support, so you can hook it to an external sound system for extended audio performance.

The price tag comes in approximately $ 400, which is quite appropriate given the array of the features provided, especially when I normally spend on a decent-quality television.
Lumi Labs also sells adjustable projector stand for $ 30 and 100-inch projector screen on its website. The company is also set to launch a “Lumi IQ” mobile app, which features AI auxiliary, allowing users to control the projector with their voice.
