Tamon emphasizes portability with a compact, light construction. Autofocus is operated by its VXD (Voice-Coil-Coil Extreme-Torque Drive) linear motor, and the image stabilization is provided by the ownership VC (vibration compensation) system of the stabilization Temron. Close-focusing performance is notable, with a minimum object distance of 5.9 inches at wide ends and 1: 2 maximum magnification ratio.
