viltrox has announced A new APS-C lens, the 35 mm (53 mm equiv) F1.7 ‘Air’ lens, is available for the Sony E-mount, Fujifilm X-mount and Nikon Z-mount. The company says its goal is to make the lens “compact” with a “highly competitive price.”
The optical formula of the lens consists of 11 elements in 9 groups, including 1 ED lens, 1 aspherical lens and 2 high-refractive lenses. It also has a nano-coating, and the aperture has nine blades. While Viltrox makes no claims of weather resistance, the front element does have a coating to resist oils and liquids.

The lens uses a stepper motor for autofocusing, and has a minimum focusing distance of 33 cm (13″). The E-mount version of the lens weighs approximately 170 grams, and is 56 mm long. The lens supports a 52mm filter. Is compatible with.
At an MSRP of $180, the lens is definitely a budget option, but it’s hard to complain about there being a more affordable prime available for these systems, especially at such a classic focal length. While manufacturers prefer Sony And Fujifilm They come at a much higher price even when there are similar lenses with additional features like optical stabilization or weather resistance.
