Uber announced On Wednesday, a “women’s priorities” will allow women’s riders and drivers to be associated with other women for their visits only through riding services.
The pilot program will begin in the next few weeks in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Detroit. The company does not yet have a launch date for other American cities.
The company said in a press release, “Women riders and drivers across the US have told us that they want to match with other women on the journey.” “We have heard them – and now we are presenting new ways to give them more control of how they ride and drive.”

Women riders have to verify their own penis on the app to reach the new feature. When selecting a ride, they will see “women drivers” as an on-demand option, as well as existing options such as Uberxl, Uber Black, Comfort and Wait & Save. Riders can also reserve trips with female drivers.

Additionally, female drivers will have the option to request trips with female riders.
Although this is not a guarantee, the company said that riders and drivers can togle female preference in their app settings to increase the possibility of matching with another woman.
