You can never have a lot of wide angle lens options. Different uses require different capabilities, and it is more versatile than it seems to be the new Prime option.
Not long ago, when you are looking for a fast wide angle prime lens for your camera, you probably have to expect a big and heavy lens. This will then rethink you if you actually require a more portable and versatile ultra-wide angle offered by that fixed focal length lens on the zoom. But recently, Sony’s G Lens Lineup has preferred to give us a compact prime lens option to give us more practical options.

New Soni 16 mm Prime comes in quite compact form, measuring just 3 inches (7.5 cm) in length and 2.91 inch (7.38 cm) in width. The weight of the entire lens is only 304 grams, including the reversible petal-type lens hood.
With a full frame camera, the 16 mm focal length provides an angle of view of 107 degrees and can focus as just 15 cm from the focal aircraft. While this lens has a small barrel compared to large ultra-wide angle lens, it has a 67 mm diameter filter thread. There is a focus ring at the distils end of the barrel, with a manual aperture ring at the more proximal end, an additional stop for a range of f/1.8 to F/22 and an additional stop for A, which allows the aperture to control the aperture using an assigned dial on the camera body. The lens also comes with a normal autofocus switch with a customized button, a switch to remove the click of the aperture ring, and an iris lock switch to go with it.
Optical performance and deformation
On a full frame body, shoots at F/1.8 gave a significant decline at the corners with a significant focus on the corners. It improves all up to f/6.3 up to f/6.3, where it is the best acuity in a particular per frame.
