“I was definitely not going to lift and I knew that he was either not lifting,” Bell told NASCAR on TNT. “We were really going to run hard, and I just got out. Dover and spinning – I have a problem with it. It’s a boomer.
“People did a really good job. I am honestly proud of the effort that this team has tried to improve. The intermediate goods have become a bit difficult for us, and this #20 team people brought a really good speed to really bring a good speed at the end of this week. Stay in more often.”
Finally, Bell was happy to see another JGR driver winning, but he was clearly fresh with himself.
“I am glad that JGR still won the race,” Bell said. “Denny has done a great job, obviously. He always does, closes these things. Chase (Brisco) got a good finish, and yes, the great day for the company. He was disappointed to make so much mistake, but our speed was really good.”
