Portable workstation using Tecno’s concept trifold smartphone
Tecno unveils Phantom Ultimate G Fold Concept, a TRIFULD smart fone It doubles as a mini laptop or workstation. Users can open the device up to the first screen-the lower is on the same or on the table and the other two screens become ‘monitor’. The setup, then, allows for multitasking, especially when users need to open several tabs or apps. The concept of Tecno to work as a mini laptop allows for the trifold smartphone, its folding system, including two hinges.
The first small hinge allows the right side of the screen to turn inward, such as how a book stops. This fold is very tight, so there is no difference between parts. Then, the second, the big hinges bends the last part of the screen at the top of the first fold. So, the entire screen is safely turned inside, and nothing is open or affixed out. There is also a self-locking system to ensure that the phone remains tightly closed and is not open to keep the folds clean and smooth without any location or looseness.

Dubbed the thinnest device of its kind till now
Even though the Tecno Phantom Ultimate is a triple-folding design in the fold concept, Brand It is said that it is still very thin. When folded, the phone is only 11.49 mm thick, which is similar to several regular foldable phones with only two parts. When users reveal it perfectly, it becomes even more thinner at 3.49 mm, which makes it so far thin concept trifold smartphones. Kaj is made from steel, and the back cover uses a special material called Titan Fiber, which is strong and only 0.3 mm thick. Even if the device is thin, it still includes a ‘fast’ processor, a triple camera and a large battery with more than 5000 mAh, which can give long use time.
While the device is still not real, the concept of Tecno comes with two small cameras manufactured in large hustle, which allows the phone to remain open at different angles. When users open the phone completely, two hinges help to form a large screen on 9.94 inches wide. The brand believes that there is almost no visual crease in the display. When folded, the device can still fit into the pocket. At the time of publication, Tecno plans to show the concept trifold smartphone in MWC 2026, which runs in Barcelona, Spain between 2 and 5 March.
