NASCAR Kodi Ware suspends two crew members for loose wheel

Kodi Ware was expecting a quiet day in Sonoma Raceway after a terrible accident at the end of the Chicago Street Course race a week ago. One of the fastest parts of the circuit exploded a break rotor and the ware’s car buried itself in tire barriers on Turn 6. They affected the wall at about 90mph, causing noticeable damage to the steering wheel and cracked its goose device.

Thankfully, nothing like this happened in Sonoma, but it was not without its play. At the closing interval of the race, the right-rear wheel separated from the car. Number 51 Rick Ware Racing Ford was capable of continuing, but the fugitive wheel extracted a caution flag. Ware took the car back to pits and finally 37 was initially ranked 34th. It was the worst finish of Ware since Bristol in April.

As a result of the loose wheel, NASCAR has released the team penalty to RWR. Both the rear tire changer Markvil Osborn and Jackman D’Can Hampton have been suspended for the next two races – Dover later this week and Indianapolis later next week.

Only other punishment from the race weekends were fined for unsafe Lug nuts in the Xfinity series. Number 21 Richard Children racing Chevrolet of Austin Hill, Number 26 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota of Dean Thompson, and Brain Pole’s No. 44 Alpha Prime Racing Chevrolet.
