How we search
To locate flights, we used Seats.aero to find award availability across 20-plus airline loyalty programs. This is one of the best ways to find the best seats in seconds, and we used it to find many of the reward flights mentioned below.
Regarding hotel stays, World of Hyatt is the most award-friendly program, and Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. Because of this, all of our top hotels to book with 100,000 Chase points are Hyatt hotels.
Hyatt is one of the few programs that still publishes an award chart, and each redemption option we share below is an example of off-peak pricing.

8 round-trip economy flights to London via Virgin Atlantic Flying Club
Virgin Atlantic flights to London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR) from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) start at 6,000 points one-way in Economy Classic. You can use Virgin Atlantic’s reward seat checker to find saver fares if they’re available on your route.
Eight round-trip economy tickets would cost 96,000 Chase points since they transfer to Virgin at a 1:1 ratio. This bonus alone could allow a family of four to fly to London and back two times. Plus, Chase sometimes runs transfer bonuses to Virgin Atlantic, which can stretch your Chase points even further.

You can take one of Emirates’ two fifth-freedom routes if you transfer your Chase points for a 17,500-mile, one-way economy ticket to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) from JFK.
Since Chase points transfer to Emirates at a 1:1 ratio, three round-trip economy itineraries would cost 105,000 points. Don’t worry, you’ll naturally earn that extra 5,000 points through spending toward your Sapphire Reserve‘s 100,000-point bonus.

In general, you’ll find great value by searching for award flights on partner airlines. You can find a one-way United Airlines economy ticket to Hawaii from the West Coast for 15,000 miles via Air Canada Aeroplan thanks to the carriers’ Star Alliance partnership.
This means you can get three round-trip tickets booked for 90,000 Chase points when you transfer them to Air Canada Aeroplan.

6 one-way Delta economy flights to the Caribbean via Air France-KLM Flying Blue
Delta Air Lines may not be a Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use your Chase points to book a Delta flight. If a Caribbean vacation is in your dreams, say hello to Delta’s SkyTeam alliance partner Air France-KLM Flying Blue.
After transferring your Chase points to Flying Blue, you can find a one-way ticket for 14,500 miles to Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) in the Dominican Republic from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Six tickets would cost 87,000 Chase points since you can transfer them to Flying Blue at a 1:1 ratio. Flying Blue often runs monthly Promo Rewards, with which you can find great value on certain routes through the program.

2 one-way business-class flights to or from Madrid via Iberia Club
Flying to Spain is easy when you find off-peak availability on Iberia. You and your family (or friends) can fly in Iberia’s business class to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) from JFK for 40,500 Avios each when you transfer your Chase points to Iberia Club at a 1:1 ratio.
Two one-way business-class tickets would cost 81,000 Avios, which you’ll have in your account once you earn that 100,000-point bonus on the Sapphire Reserve.

Virgin Atlantic is a solid transfer partner for more than just economy flights. You can snag a one-way business-class seat from JFK to LHR for 32,000 points, which means you could book three one-way tickets for 96,000 points, thanks to saver fares.
Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class experience includes phenomenal service and comfortable bedding, making this one of the best ways to fly to London on points.

1 round-trip business-class flight to Tokyo on ANA via Virgin Atlantic Flying Club
Virgin Atlantic’s published award chart shows that business-class seats on All Nippon Airways flights to Japan from the West Coast would require 52,500 points one-way. This means you could fly round-trip in business class for 105,000 points, which you’d earn from spending to earn the 100,000-point bonus on the Sapphire Reserve.
However, it’s worth mentioning that these award fares are often available just days before the flight. Because of this, flexibility would be the key to this redemption. To check availability and book an ANA flight with Virgin points, you’ll need to contact Virgin Atlantic Flying Club by phone, as this information is not available online.

You can get to Hawaii in United first class if you transfer your Chase points to United MileagePlus. Fly from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) on the Big Island for 50,000 miles one-way. The round-trip flight would consume all 100,000 bonus points from the Sapphire Reserve‘s current bonus.

You can make your way from Dulles International Airport (IAD) near Washington, D.C., to Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO) and back for 50,000 United miles each way. So, two one-way fares would consume 100,000 points when you transfer them to United MileagePlus at a 1:1 ratio.

1 one-way Lufthansa first-class flight on the Boeing 747 via Air Canada Aeroplan
If you dream of flying to Germany via Lufthansa’s fantastic first-class offering on the Boeing 747, Air Canada Aeroplan points can get you there. Lufthansa and Air Canada are Star Alliance partners, which means you can find award availability through the award-friendly Aeroplan program, a 1:1 transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards.
You’ll use up all 100,000 points earned with the Sapphire Reserve‘s bonus on a one-way flight to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD). However, as you’ll see from our price comparison, the onboard experience (including Champagne and caviar) ensures you’re getting a high cash value from your points.
Note that when booking Lufthansa first-class seats through partner programs, award availability does not open until a maximum of 14 days before the departure date; however, we’ve seen it open only a few days prior. Therefore, having a flexible schedule is key when wanting to book this deal.

Qatar Airways’ Qsuite is an industry leader when it comes to the business-class experience, winning Best Long-Haul/International Business Class in the 2024 TPG Awards.
Qatar Airways isn’t a Chase transfer partner. However, you can still get there on 70,000 Chase points. All you have to do is transfer at a 1:1 ratio to British Airways Club. You can then move your Avios to Qatar Airways Privilege Club. British Airways’ website describes this process.
In this example, you can go nonstop to Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha from JFK with 70,000 Avios.

What can I do if there is no availability?
If you run these searches and have trouble finding a seat or a stay, it isn’t just you. Award availability can come and go quickly. Flexibility is important to book some of our highest-value redemptions, especially flights, as seats are limited.
You may have to run multiple searches and check for availability across a wide number of dates to find exactly what you’re looking for, and some programs won’t release award seats until days before the flight is set to take off. Keep this in mind as you replicate these searches on your own time.
