Living power: F1’s new, young fans are committed to long race


Attracting fresh eyes is one thing, keeping them busy for long-term is another-but Formula 1 is ready to maintain its new, forever fantasy.

New audiences have been attracted to F1 in recent years, whether it is through increasing presence in the United States or successful Drive to survive Series on Netflix.

While the fresh eye numbers on the product are impressive, F1 knows that keeping them sticking to their output, longer, is very important.

In form of 2025 Global F1 Fan Survey ShowThe series is succeeding in the discovery in which all the respondents with a huge 94% are still expecting to be after F1 to five years. The number with new and old fans is also deep, equally for the championship.

This figure only makes more jump when General Z fans (97%), America’s respondents (95%) and ‘96%with’ new ‘fans – follow the series for less than five years.

For a long time F1 followers were surveyed, when it came to the remaining fans for the next five years (93%) as well as those fans over 45 years of age, about one-third of the respondents asked to remain their commitment.

“We are excited about our future,” Stephano Domainley, President of F1 and CEO Stephano Domainley said in his initial comments in the 2025 Global F1 fan survey introduction.

“As we enter 2026, we will see durable fuel and a new era of cars with a new team and new site that will improve the fight on the track. And we know that our fans are also excited.”

While most of the credit for the growing popularity of F1 is placed below Drive to surviveThe 2025 survey has some interesting figures when it falls on the path in the series.

Among the above ‘new’ fans, 16% attributed their F1 affiliation for Netflix Documents, while overall the number showed that 39% of the entry points of 100,000 respondents were through friends and family – far and away – and still the most common route.

These figures are important for the growth of F1, but even for the long -term plan which can be put into action, knowing that most of the fans are to live here.
