Everything I do to clean my external location
Pressure washing is the first step of my outdoor cleaning. Everything here is perfect to see my external place.
Clean everything
The first thing I do takes everything from the porch: furniture, plants, and accessories, including hanging items like wind churning. I usually spread a couple of inexpensive plastic tarps on the lawn to catch everything.
I like to clean the place, before I focus my attention to clean everything you have removed. While the porch is empty, I do a quick inspection for cracks or winter damage that may require to be addressed.
First prepare washer and security
After the label directions, I fill the washer reservoir with water and my cleaner that contains a mildcide. This is an electric model so I plug it in, choose the best nozzle for your surfaces, and it is ready to go.
I put safety glasses to protect my eyes, and I wear non-slip, close-leg shoes. Since my pressure washer has a long hose and stick, I can easily clean all porch areas without using a ladder.
alert
Never use pressure washer while staying on the ladder; This is incredible insecure.
Porch washing pressure
My porch has several support columns and covered with roof siding and a brick house exterior that collects dust, insect nests and webs, and mildew. While cleaning any “room”, always start at the top so that the dirt falls down.
I keep a stick of at least 3 feet from surfaces to prevent accidental damage. It is both amazing and satisfactory to see the soil because I proceed systematically to clean every inch.
To clean the porch, it’s time to do Stone floorI switch the nozzle again on the most soft spray to protect my hand painted “slate”. I start at one end of the porch and work in a grid to get rid of grid and soil.
Once everything is cleaned, I do a final rinse with plain water and let the surfaces dry.
Cleaning of porch furniture
Waiting to pay attention to plastic tarps is a mixture of porch furniture – with the most metal and woven plastic rattan frame and Cloth cushionThere are also glass-top tables and metal plant stands. Since cushions start drying for the longest time, I start there.
In a big bucket, I mix hot water, 1 tbsp of heavier laundry detergent, and 1/4 cup Powder oxygen-based bleachStarting at the top of a cushion, I immerse a soft-brisled nylon scrub brush in the mixture and scrub the cloth surface in overlapping circles.
After cleaning, I use a garden hose to remove the soil. To help dry speed, squeeze as much water as possible and prophen to drip the cushion.
Next, I use the hose to rinse dust and dirt from furniture structures, glass-top tables and plant stands. I ended Using a glass cleaner To clean both sides of glass inserts and dry them with a lint-free microfiber fabric.
Once everything becomes dry, all furniture and accessories go back to my freshly cleaned porch and I put myself a glass of iced tea and pat myself on the back for work well.
