Sales of NBA’s Minnesota Timberwells And WNBA’s Minnesota Links has been unanimously approved by NBA’s Board of Governors for a group led by former MLB Star Alex Rodrigue and e-commerce entrepreneur Mark Lor, the League has announced on Tuesday.
Rodriguez and Lore are familiar with Timberwells, as they used to put minority bets at the NBA franchise earlier. Sales are estimated to be closed at an estimated $ 1.5 billion within the next few days, ESPN reports,

An introductory press conference for Rodriguez and Lore is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas in July – NBA Summer League site. Lor is expected to work as T’Wolves Primary Governor, while former New York Yankis Star is slapped to be an alternative governor of franchise.

Links have won four WNBA Championship Since the franchise was established in 1999. Timberwells has never won the NBA final title, but this year’s Western conference is advanced in the final.
