Panasonic has released the firmware V1.2 for its Lumix S1RII high-razed hybrid mirrorless camera, which brings the promised video promotion with a series of additional features. S1ii and S1ii users get many of these features in firmware V1.1 for their cameras.
S1rii additional features
The S1IIR 8.1k receives the open gate recording capacity, as well as with the ability to output a raw data stream, which can be encoded by a blackmazic or atomos external recorder. At the time of the launch of the camera, its open det output was taken to 6.2K resolution. The new firmware allows the perfect sensor area output panasonic that it will add.
It also receives the ‘Urban Sports’ theme recognition autofocus mode offered on the S1ii model, as well as with the ability to output 10-bit heif images including HDR images using HDG response curve. The update also includes an HLG view assist mode to preview the impact.
Other features include an important suit of other features tweex and enhancements to use an SSD, UVC/UAC compatibility with internal card file transfer and control ring to use focus ring on some lenses.
Upgrade to S1rii, S1ii and S1EII
Updates include many characteristics that also fall in S1ii and S1iie, as part of their firmware V1.1.
These include an in-camera focus stacking mode, which combines images centered at different distances, to increase the area deeply, and abilitly to change the color of the AF focus frame.
All three cameras users will be able to install a payment upgrade to shoot the ARRI LOGC3
All three cameras users will be able to install a payment upgrade to enable the shooting of the footage using the Logc3 color and luminance reaction of the ARRI, allowing its use to its use with er cameras and used lut designed for those cameras.
The new firmware also adds seven additional aspect ratio guides and can be shown up to three at the same time to help when composed for output in several aspects. All three cameras also get the ability to communicate Through Wi-Fi or wired lan (via a USB adapter) with a software capture.
The firmware for Panasonic Lumics S1rii and firmware V1.1 will be available on the Global Customer Support website of Panasonic from June 24 for Panasonic Lumix S1ii and S1iie.

Panasonic introduces wide new firmware updates to its Lumix series of Lumix: S1rii, S1ii and S1iie
Newark, NJ (June 23, 2025) -Penoconic Lumix has introduced a series of new firmware updates for its full-frame mirror Lumics S1III, S1ii and S1iie with a view to improving hybrid shooting experience and increasing functionality.
Aligned with Lumix’s ongoing commitment to assistant creators, the latest firmware updates will be available on June 24, 2025 to download Lumix Global Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Customer Support website for free.
Lumix S1rii firmware version 1.2 update

*ARRI LOGC3 is a log gamma developed by ARRI and is used in ARRI digital cinema cameras. Please note: Alexa uses 35 ARRI LOGC4. DMW-SFU3A software upgrade key (sold separately) is required. On Lumix S1ii/S1iie, Arri Logc3 can be used for 10bit recording in video mode.
