My go-to Peanut Butter Banana Protein Shake There is a nutritious, dessert-surprising shake that is ready in 5 minutes with only 4 ingredients. I like to make it as a quick breakfast for the post-workout protein boost.
- A super simple protein shake that uses Only 4 materials,
- Make it in 5 minutes Flat aka perfect for busy mothers like me.
- Protein-Pack! I am talking 17 grams of protein / serving,
- Child-friendly material Because we all know that if the mother is drinking a smoothie, they want a slur or two 😅 yours.
Material to collect
- cottage cheese: My Protein-Pack Besty! I like to use a high fat cottage cheese (2% or 4%) because it is creamier and gives you more protein for your deer.
- peanut butter: Any PB will do since you are combining everything! I prefer an all-enemy drippy peanut butter because it does not pack any fillers, but you do.
- Frozen banana slices: Make sure your banana slices are frozen! It is important to achieve a thick stability for this shake. Fresh banana will result in a runner shake – no one wants this.
- Almond milk: Any milk will work technically! I always have plain, without thinking -almond milk in my fridge, so I am using this recipe.

My favorite ways to enjoy this protein shake
This protein shake has become my go-to in my mother’s era. I think this requires only 4 ingredients (all of which I can share with my toddlers because they undoubtedly want a sip or twice I want to make it), and packs 17 grams of protein.
Due to these macros, this protein shake is perfect to whip on busy morning, when we move, or as a protein boost after a workout. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Can I make it with protein powder?
I have not tested this exact recipe with protein powder as the cottage cheese already packs so much protein. I recommend checking another Protein smoothie Fit Foody shows that already tested with protein powder.
How can I make a vegetarian peanut butter banana protein shake?
You can replace using a vegetarian cheese to make this shake vegetarian. You would also like to check your almond milk and peanut butter to ensure that it is not sweet with honey. I know if you try this!
-
Place all the ingredients in a high -speed blender for the shake and mix until it becomes smooth.
-
Transfer the shake to a glass and top with a drizzle of fresh banana slices and peanut butter.
- You should use frozen banana slices or you will finish with a cow and warm shake.
- If you want to add volume and a little more cold, add in cup ice in the blender, in addition to all other ingredients.
