For the last 10 years, I have been hijabi, people called dupatta or hijab. I do it for religious reasons because I was born in Islamic belief as a Muslim. This has become a part of my routine. Nobody forced me to do so – this is something I understood. Wearing hijab is a big commitment, so you should not look down if they do not. Some members of my family do, nothing.
I decided during the month of Ramadan, when we do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset. It is a sacred time that acts like a reset for Muslims around the world. That year, I thought, I cover for prayers, so why can’t I do it all the time? I am very comfortable wearing hijab now. There are many different styles, even silk and other fancy materials. I also enjoy it style.
Growing up, my parents did not have the mindset to travel. I was born in Bangladesh, and my parents moved to Singapore when she was about 6 years old. We will travel by road Malaysia And go to our hometown in Bangladesh. Whether he was cultural or he was protective, my family was not open to a girl by himself or with his friends. But as soon as I graduated from the university, I got married and my husband and I started traveling.

Our first major journey was from South Korea – we wanted to experience snow. Unfortunately, we did not see anyone, but I fell in love with the journey. I also like external activities, such as hiking and camps. When you are traveling hiking in the hijab, you are getting sweaty, but it is notable. Once you reach the top and the wind is blowing, it looks stunning.
I now have a 2 -year -old daughter and I took her on her first flight from Vancouver to Singapore, where my husband and I moved in 2019, when she was just 7 weeks. We have a one -year maternity leave here in Canada, so I used it completely. She was surprisingly good in the flight and impressed me. I was breastfeeding and somehow just knew how to calm her when she was crying.
When she was about 4 months old, we went to Japan in the fall to see colors. it was beautiful. We visited Kyoto, OsakaAnd Japanese Alps. My daughter does not remember one thing, but I am going to remember all this.
One of my favorite places AirportI try to go every year. I can’t swim, but I like to walk out of the beach. I also like snorkeling, and in Hawaii, fish come to the beach correct, so you don’t have to go deeply. But I am sure I am still covering myself enjoying myself. I wear called a burkini – it is like leggings and a long suit made of swimsuit material, and it covers your hair. If I need to change and there is no washroom, I have this pop-up tent where I can go inside and change. My family and I are used for these challenges.
My husband and I try a lot while traveling and pack. We go from sunrise to sunset, and we are courageous. This has changed a bit with my daughter, but I enjoy traveling with her. They like to play in the sand, then they get tired and take it nap, so they sleep in the car. When they wake up, they are on another beach.

I think my daughter really remembers these adventures. She says she remembers when Grandpa and Baba cried the boat. She also remembers playing on the beach in sand. I know that many parents do not want Travel after their childrenTrust me, it is better to change diapers in a different place. You do not have to think about daily worldly works like washing clothes, changing sheets and cooking. In addition, there is a better view.
When we were in a small Italian city, it seemed that everyone was watching me. I don’t think they were getting rude; They may not have seen a tourist with just one hijab. I draw a lot of attention. I know that it is difficult for some people who stare and comments, such as “go back from where you came.” Fortunately, I was not really in any unpleasant situations.
I have some issues on the border leading from Canada to America, which may be a little unpleasant. Perhaps this is due to my Singapore’s passport. It has become easier in places like Italy and Switzerland, where they have a lot of tourists and see many different people with different clothing. But in small places, like Jeju Island in South Korea, they stare because they are eager.
There are also pleasant experiences. Once, I was in Vietnam and because of the hijab, he immediately knew that I was a Muslim, and said, “Salute,” Muslim greetings. In addition, anytime I look at any hijabis, we always smile on each other and give that silent greetings.

The second challenge of the journey is that Halal food can be difficult to find. Pork is not halal, and chicken, lamb, or beef needs to be slaughtered in an Islamic manner. We do not consume any alcohol, so we have to check the material. For example, in Japan, sometimes sushi occurs in rice. We use an app to see if the food is halal.
We always try to do our research in advance, but it can be difficult with the journey program. For example, you can travel south, but Halal location is in the north. You do not want to remember only places because you need to eat. He said, there are other places to recognize the fact that we, Muslim people, need to eat halal food. I can always choose a vegetarian pasta or tofu bowl. There is always a way. There is no need to stop the journey.
The idea of seeing so many different places wants to travel as much as I can. I want to show my daughter that traveling is easy and flexible, if you do your work around the challenges.
He is already so adapted in two years. I do camp, boating and snorkeling with her. There are moments that are afraid of him, but I tell him, “I am right next to you. There is nothing to be afraid of it.”
I am not going to force her to wear hijab. It would be good if she wears it. I want to show him that it is not to stop you from doing anything that is safe and good for you, such as looking at the world.
