Samsung Galaxy A56 vs Galaxy A55

Samsung’s highest demanded midrangar, Samsung Galaxy A56 Here is, and many of you are left thinking how much better it is than its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy A55Ultimately, Samsung’s extended software support makes old models a sensible solution for many. Although if you are studying it from America, you do not have enough option besides obtaining the Galaxy A56 as the A55 was never available in the pond.

The difference between the two is about € 100, but in fact, third-party stores have already dropped the A56 price premium in the European Union by only € 20–30.

In the UK, A56 is available in only 256GB of tier, while A55 is available only as 128GB models. What is more, Samsung appears that there is much better control over the A56 retail pricing, so the current price difference between the old and new models is an £ 140. Neither model is available in America.

Therefore, with pricing being different, it is surprising whether the new device is worth the premium. Now let’s go deeper beyond the glasses.

Subject:

For beginning, you can Compare full glasses sheets Or continue with the evaluation of our editor directly In the following text.

Size comparison

There are no major design changes, but one can argue that the Galaxy A56 is more sophisticated. For example, the 6.7-inch performance is slightly larger than the 6.6-inch panel on the A55 in the device, but comes in almost identical dimensions. It is just one millimeter long, but quite light.

Additionally, A56 gets an advanced gorilla glass+ back glass, unlike standard glass at A55. In addition, you will not feel a lot of difference between A56 and A55.

Performance comparison

In addition to a clear size difference, the new Galaxy A56 has a slight bright performance. A56 is at peak above 1,200 Nits In our tests, while the A55 is barely finished 1,000 nits,

To be frank, this is not a big difference, as both phones should provide good sunlight even during bright sunny days.

There is no feature difference in two displays as they both support HDR10+ and 120Hz refresh rates.

battery life

Surprisingly, the Galaxy A55 overall the long battery life, even if the Galaxy A56 claims more energy-efficient chipset. Galaxy A55 gets more 13: 27h active use score Our proprietary tests with a longer long -term call, video playback and gaming runtimes compared to the new A56.

In contrast, the Galaxy A56 expelled the A55 in a web browsing test by a small margin. Among all, A55 feels that both have a better battery life.

Charging speed

None of the four is particularly sharp when it comes to charging, but the Galaxy A56 now supports 45W fast charging, while the A55 is capted at 25W. Neither the phone comes with a charger, but for A56, you will also have to get a 5 amp cable if you want the fastest charging possible, as one in the box is rated at only 3 amp.

The difference in charging speed is marginal. According to our trials, the A56 charging rapidly at the beginning of the charging cycle, reaches high percentage in 15 and 30 minutes of digits, but it takes A55 to 10 minutes to reach 100%.

Of course, the charging curve of A56 is more practical because when you are in a hurry you will not have to charge the phone up to 100%.

Speaker test

When it comes loud, the Galaxy A55 speakers are marginally loud, even if it earns “very good” score of the “good” score of A56.

However, tuning is different. The Galaxy A56 produces warm, deep sound and potentially low deformation in high amounts with more key bass, while the A55 cleaner provides vocals but flatter sound.

Display

The new Galaxy A56 runs on another recent Exynos 1580 chipset, which is more powerful than the Exynos 1480 running inside A55.

Two handsets offer the same memory configuration, but upgrade storage from A56 UFS 2.1 to UFS 3.1. If you go for A56 you will get a little sharp storage.

Benchmark performance

The raw benchmark results show a significant performance benefits with the Galaxy A56 this year. Exynos 1580 Exynos 1480 was made better than 16% in the pure CPU landscape and more than 30% in GPU-intensive 3DMark benchmark. The joint test shows an increase in 25% performance.

It is quite clear that if you are for performance, A56 should be your first choice without any doubt.

Camera comparison

The Galaxy A56 and A55 rely on the same camera hardware at the rear. They have a 50MP main shooter 12MP ultravide camera and a dedicated 5MP macro snapper.

For selfie, A56 gets a new, better 12MP sensor with less resolution than 32MP sensors of A55.

Below we have two phones at the same place but some samples have been taken at different times.

image quality

Looking at the stils from the primary camera, it is safe to say that there is almost no difference in overall quality. The rendering is very similar and we cannot find meaningful differences in daylight and night scenarios.

Only we were able to spot the difference in the exposure. The A55 has a more balanced exposure with a more natural looking shade at night, while the highlights of A56 are very bright during the day as well as the shadows in the night paintings.

The 2x zoom photos are very similar again, but pulls forward with cleaner and sharp -looking stils during the A56 days. Although the quality is very similar at night.

Decision

As you can see, the Galaxy A56 upgrade on A55 is modest to say at least. Therefore, no wonder people are difficult to decide between saving a few rupees and getting old A55 instead, or simply going for the latest and greatest.

For the price premium of the Galaxy A56, you will get a slightly more sophisticated design, a better chipset, slightly charging, better tuning, better selfie, low-light video, and two additional years software support (6 vs 4 vs 4 major OS updates).

On the other hand, last year’s Galaxy A55, almost the same camera experience, long battery life, and provides a microSD card slot.

So if you live in a market where the difference between the two is small (like the European Union), then it makes everyone understanding to go to the new model. However, if you already own a Galaxy A55 or there is a big difference in pricing between two models in your market, then we suggest that you stick to A55 or wait a little more until the A56 pricing is essentially down.
