BTCC champion Hill defeated Huff and Ingram in Goodwood Tin-Top Battle

British touring car champion Jake Hill won a Star-Stasted Gordon Spice Trophy race at a meeting of Goodwood members, defeating former world touring car champion Rob Huff.

Hill fired Rick Wood’s Ford Capri, which he placed second at the beginning of a 20-minute race for 1970–82 Group 1 touring cars. But Poleman Andy Priyulks attacked James Thorpe’s Chevrolet Camaro and operated directly under the launt on lap two, in which Hill briefly participated on the grass.

The major pair exchanged the fastest laps before the failure of the water pump, which forced Triple WTCC Champion Priyulux to heat the Kemero.

This allowed Haf, who allowed Ford Mustang of Fast-Starter Romain Dumas to second place in the right part of Lap Two in the right part of St. Mary. Huff moved towards Hill, but never went close enough to challenge, lagged behind 1.3 seconds, as the two V6 Capris defeated the V8 crowd.

“It was a great battle with Andy,” Hill said, which would begin to protect its BTCC title at Donington Park in late April. “I was hunting him, trying my hardest; I am amazed for Andy because he had the speed of winning.”

Fellow BTCC Champion Tom Ingram came to third place in his Cammero after struggling to get a second gear in his Camero. This means that he fell from third to seventh position on the grid, but raised slowly-especially fasting-starting triple BTCC champion Gordon Shedden’s Volvo 242-and 14-Leader after half a distance after a distance of Dumas.

Dumas, who used the grass in almost another from the proyolks, eventually came back to the sixth position. Fourth, the lead V8 runner behind Ingram, so Le Man’s Legend Tom Cristians, who started the seventh place in Mike Whitekar’s Rover 3500 SD1.

The Samagra Gordon Spice Trophy will be fixed on the overall results of the Sunday race for professional drivers and the Sunday race for owner-entry.
