Former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Actor Artem Chigvintsev Arrested for Domestic Violence – National
Dancing with the Stars Professional Artem Chigvintsev was arrested Thursday morning in California on suspicion of domestic violence.
Chigvintsev, 42, has served as a dance partner to several celebrity contestants on Dancing with the stars, including Patti LaBelle and Kaitlyn Bristowe, during her 12 seasons on the show.
He was arrested shortly before 10 a.m. local time after an anonymous caller contacted 911 to report a domestic violence incident.
Napa County jail records show he was booked under California Penal Code Section 273.5(a), which prohibits intentionally inflicting “bodily injury resulting in a traumatic condition” on a current or former spouse, domestic partner or co-parent.
Henry Wofford, Napa County Officer told NBC News Chigvintsev was released Thursday afternoon on $25,000 US ($33,700 CAD) bail.
No further details about the incident, including the victim’s name and location of the arrest, have been released.
He has not commented on his arrest.

Chigvintsev recently celebrated his second wedding anniversary with former WWE wrestler Nikki Garcia, whom he met when they were paired together on season 25 of Dancing with the stars, which aired in 2017.
The couple share a four-year-old son.
Chigvintsev and Garcia posted messages on social media They celebrated their second wedding anniversary this week and declared their love for each other online.
It is unclear whether Garcia was involved in Chigvintsev’s arrest.
Garcia performed in WWE as Nikki Bella alongside her twin sister, Brie, in the tag team The Bella Twins.
Before Dancing with the stars, Chigvintsev took part in the British version of the show, Come dance to perfection.
Variety reported that Chigvintsev will not appear in upcoming season of Dancing with the stars, which begins on September 17.
