The Wiltrox Lab Lineup is a third-party lens manufacturer’s high-end series, offering flagship quality and more premium features than other series of its lenses. As a result, Wiltrox 135 mm F1.8 promises edge-to-ejas sharpness in the lab. The e-mount version has received excellent review for quality provided for quality, and the Z-mount model must be the same, given that there is the only difference between Mount Mount.
The lens uses the Wiltrox HypervcM motor for autofocus, which claims the Wiltrox that provides 150% faster autofocus compared to traditional STM motors. It states that the lens will provide 100ms near the focus point switching for rapidly smooth infection. It promises silent autofocus with minimal focus breathing, making it a worthy lens for video purposes. It provides a minimum focus distance with 0.72m (2.4 ‘) 0.25x maximum magnification, almost similar to 135 mm of Sony and slightly closer than Nikon’s plana lens.

AF 135 mm F1.8 Lab has an 11-blade aperture diaphragm for attractive Bokeh. Optical design contains 14 elements in 9 groups, including four ED lower-fold lenses and two high-disturbing-inflammatory elements. It is durable, with a dustproof and splash-resistant design and magnesium alloy barrels.
Like the e-mount version, it has a small screen at the top of the lens that can be adapted to show relevant information. The lens also offers an AF/MF switch and an aperture D-click switch. A multifunction ring enables adjustable function mode such as aperture adjustment, exposure compensation or ISO control on Nikon cameras. Finally, a USB-C port allows for firmware updates.
One of the tradeoffs for the budget price is more weight. The 135 mm prime lens is not known to be very light, but the Wiltrox lens is a particularly heavy offer. At 1265G (2.8LBS), it is slightly heavy than Nikon 135 mm F1.8 s Plena, weighing 995G (2.2LBS). Save money in this case means added weight.
Viltrox AF 135 mm F1.8 Lab Lab for Nikon Z-Mount is now available on the Viltrox website for $ 854, which is a temporary discount from its $ 899 value.
