What do I pack for my trip: your guide for packing in 2025

Whatever I take in my bag has changed a lot in years. Most of that change have to be done with the fact that I now take a lot of blogging related gears, but also show that I have learned a lot about packing because I first hit the road in 2006.

I learned various packing techniques through years. I have traveled with large duffle bags, 60L packs, 30L packs, carry-on and everything in the middle. I have done all this and all the seasons.

And, today, I want to share that knowledge with you so that you can be a better packer because many people always want to know what they should pack for their journey.

answer?

as little as possible.

The packing light is a clich, yet there is a lot of truth. The more I travel, the more I realize that I do not need a lot of items. Whatever I want now fits a backpack (For more recommendations than my years testing backpacks, Click here for my top travel backpack,

I like to write everything I think I would need before I leave – and then cut it in half. I always ask myself, “Will I use it to justify weight?”

Most of the time is not answer.

I only take essential things, and if I really want something that I did not bring, I buy it on the road. It is not difficult to find medicines, clothes or a umbrella abroad.

I try to stick to the same climate during my trips to avoid carrying different types of clothes. I don’t want to have sweaters all around ThailandYou, however, can change plans, and if it happens, I will buy a light jacket or a sweater. I will keep it until it is a burden and then give it to it.

also you Be able to do To wash clothes abroad, so I like to carry enough clothes for 7-10 days, wash clothes, then repeat. When you are just with you, there is no need to bring a lot of items.

For tall What should you pack? Okay, below is my suggested packing list – but you should tailor it for your needs.

,Comment: It focuses on a trip to non-warrior climate. If you are going somewhere in the cold, then you have to adjust accordingly.)

Special Tip: Buy a small backpack Therefore, you will not be tempted to overpack. We prefer to fill the vacant space subconsciously, so if you have a large bag, you just have the possibility of overpack so that you do not waste the place. By receiving a small backpack, you will only be forced to take the necessary things – a mind trick that works very well!

I have found that this list wants me for nothing. I am sure many of you will read it and say, “But what about X?” Or “you don’t really need Y.” Well, it works for you, and this list works for me. Tail your list according to your journey.

I do not write this post because I think there is a perfect way to pack, but I have to answer the recurring question about what pack and why. This is my list and conforms to my “Chase the Summer, Live in Hostel” lifestyle.

But the real point I want to emphasize is that when you travel you do not really need much. You never need as much as you think.
