Fashion is always a habit of looking back in the past, but it is increasing even more in the recent season. Recently, the downtown style set is taking hints from the ’50s icon ‘ Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, Adopting classic pieces such as car coat, pillbox hat, frame bags and leather gloves – a stunning change away from the edgier looks. This speed continues because we look at the fall/winter 2025 runway. For its first runway show, Burton referred to Hubert de Givencchi’s first collection of 1952, so several looks were immersed in style from the decade, including skirts, including voluminous bows, beautifully wrapped floral-print dress, and a procession of the look with a basier top. In MIU MIU, ‘pastel skirt suits, cute stoles, pointed bras and even thoroback hairstyle in terms of’ 50 emerged. In several shows including Tom Ford, one of the films of directors from model decades could be passed for Hitchcock heroines.

Nostalgia was very clear on the runway, but creative directors looked back in more than one way. In several collections, designers brought back the shopping hit. Looking at the archives, Kemana Kamali revived the iconic Chloe Padington Bag, which was first introduced by Foebey Philo in 2005. In Miu Miyu, we saw another version of the brand’s creed sneakers in collaboration with the new balance, which is fixed as a future sell-out piece in the snakeprint version. In other major fashion houses including the channel, the classic bags were introduced in new colors, shapes and materials. Not only are the brands dearly presenting new versions of the de -pieces, but also showing shopkeepers that they are worth investing as they will continue in the future season.

The color was changed to the maximum amount. After several seasons where we have seen dominating the minimum, neutral colorway, there is a change in the opposite direction. This spring, we are already seeing a hunger for more color with a rainbow of powder pink and a rainbow of pastel shades. For the fall, the color will return to full force. Perhaps this was the most obvious on the St. Laurent Runway, where Anthony Verlet sent models wearing a look after a colored look in colors including Violet, Tengerrin, Kelly Green, Fuchsia and Scarlet (to name some names).

Season’s secondary? belt. In particular, many belts are stacked together in the same outfit. It was a running theme at Paris Fashion Week, including the collections of Shiapareli, Christopher Esber and Issse Miyake. In some shows, we saw a belt style worn in multiples. On others, it was a mixture-and-match with different widths and belts of styles. Of all the trends to learn for the decline 2025, this is probably the easiest that exists already using pieces placed in your closet.
