Sony World Photography Awards 2025 Category Winner
The World Photography Organization has announced category winners and shortlisted photographers for the Sony World Photography Awards 2025 Open competition. The open competition of the World Photography Awards is in its 18th year and its objective is to celebrate the ability of photographers “the ability to remove a unique moment and awaken a broad story.” The entrances presented their strongest images from 2024 to 10 categories, including landscape, portrait, street photography, wildlife and more.
This year, the free-to-anter competition received over 419,000 submissions from 200 countries and regions. All shortlisted photos can be seen worldphoto.org,
In addition to the category winners, an open photographer will be announced at an award ceremony in London on 16 April. From April 17 to May 5, selected win and shortlisted images will be displayed at the World Photography Awards Exhibition at Somarset House in London and then visiting other places.
