The Wicked Soundtrack, Ranked

there is something about Wicked The soundtrack is coming out at the end of the year and has snuck into our Spotify Wrapped playlist which doesn’t do the album justice. I know that in a few weeks, it will at least take over most of the top spots in my rankings. Let’s be real, this will probably be a big year on everyone’s Wrapped rankings by the time it’s released. Wicked: Give it away.

With that in mind, we’re dropping the needle wicked part one The musical stars Ariana Grande as Galinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, whose spiteful crazy romance inspires the hit musical film. If you’re in the same (theater) camp as those of us who have already seen the movie multiple times, there’s already a setlist of tracks that we listen to when We’re not sitting inside Nicole Kidman’s AMC church. Like it or not, there are favorites and not-so-favorites, but good for you if you consider this a no-skip album. However, here’s our ranking from forgettable to favorite earworms Wicked soundtrack,

“An Emotional Man” – Jeff Goldblum

Well, we have to say this… whisper The song is not good. I like Jeff Goldblum as the magician, but verbally slowing down this already lowest playing entry on the musical soundtrack makes it more drawn out for demonstration purposes, right when the action is about to begin. it occurs.

“Something Bad” – Peter Dinklage and Cynthia Erivo

Cynthia Erivo’s vocals balance it out. Still, this first act number is definitely our first bathroom and snack break when rewatching it in the theater. Sitting in the first round is obviously important for important exhibition purposes. There is nothing so useless in it.

“Dear Old Shiz” – Shiz University Choir, Ariana Grande, and Wicked mold

This magic school is giving upgrades; We needed them more. I can’t wait to visit the Universal Studios theme park and hear a live performance of it. And ate Grande’s note.

“No One Mourns the Wicked” – Ariana Grande and Wicked mold

We mourn the wicked. Here the crowd is singing “No Mourning for the Wicked” and Ariana Grande’s “No, No Mourning for the Wicked” and the two meanings ringing with Glinda’s high notes are loud enough for the story to begin to unfold. Goes, I love playing this word.

“I’m Not That Girl” – Cynthia Erivo

The bittersweet moment of unrequited love, we’ve all been there. It’s a nice soft song for Cynthia Erivo to sing before singing “Defying Gravity” to show that Elphaba has a lot of people going for her.

“One Short Day” – Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Wicked mold

we’re still screaming about it (Modified) Cameo And working on memorizing new songs.

“Ozdust Duet” – The Wicked orchestra

“Dancing Through Life” is very long in the film – it’s basically an act in itself, but really shines when there’s a moment of connection between Elphaba and Glinda. The instrumental “Ozdust Duet” is gorgeous and it evokes all the feelings you feel when you find someone who understands you.

“Dancing Through Life” – Jonathan Bailey and Wicked mold

Well, despite its length, from the “dancing through life” library, to the quiet moments between characters we love to sing along with (uh, Nessa? Listen Nessa? Nessa? Nessa?), to the showstopping finale, Plays a series of set pieces. , It’s a lot of fun to make a loud bang.

“The Wizard and I” – Cynthia Erivo

Elphaba’s song of the power ballad “I Want” would lead to more karaoke moments and sing-alongs in years to come.

“what is this feeling?” – Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Wicked mold

This crazy anthem is going viral for its duet ability and TikTok dance craze with Galinda and her Shiz Crew (Taps Notebook, Stomp). We know this because it constantly pops up within every other Reel and TikTok sample in our For You pages.

“Popular” – Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande’s “Popular” song as Galinda is the best singer of all time. It’s infectious and bubbly, Correct?! Thankfully, a shorter radio edit without the dialogue has been released. Check it out above!

“Defying Gravity” – Cynthia Erivo

Give all the awards to Cynthia Erivo! The timelessness of “Defying Gravity” is enhanced by Erivo’s sheer talent as Elphaba. The extended version is our favorite but the radio edit (above) will have you feeling unlimited in a pinch when you need it.

Wicked is in theaters now; Sing-along screening has started 25th December in a theater near youThank you for your continued patience in not singing along until then. wicked soundtrack can be found online,
