Introduction
Canon Powershot V1 The company’s second Vlogging is compact after the 2023 reducing V10. This is common with enthusiastic compacts of the company’s G1X series, using a large sensor with technology borrowed from its APS-C cameras.
Along with keeping in mind, it has a f2.8–4.5 lens equal to 16–50 mm, which means that it can maintain an area equal to a wide-angle 22 mm, even when cropped-in in 1.4x for its 4K/60 mode.
We run at the canon booth, the moment the CP+ show was opened in Yokohama, so we can be the first to get our hands on a new camera.
Handling

It seems quite comfortable at hand: it is quite deep, as the ducting used to keep the camera cool for the extended period of the fan and recording is used to keep the camera cool, but there is enough grip to feel safe in hand.
The body is coated with a soft, grippy rubber coating, which combines a sense of safety, as well as a little to feel a premium.
Control

Camera control is very small, a small zoom rocker around the shutter button and a small exposure dial at the back of the top plate.
The top plate with the power button has a small (REC) button and two mix. When you mount the ‘Dead Cat’ wind screen over MICS, the power button becomes somewhat unclear.
The mode is a stils/video switch just behind the dial, as it is mainly designed as a Vlogging camera, it should also be very competent for stils.

The G1 X Mark III and most of the other canon are similar to the camera, with a little control dial surrounds its four-way controller, as well as with buttons for playback, remove and further.

V1 has a control dial around its lens, but disappointing, it is free-rotating. This is great for smooth manual focus or spontaneous aperture changes in video mode, but it is not ideal in photography such as discomfort, stained variables such as exposure compensation, ISO or aperture value and means that you do not get any touch response.
Default by default changes the dial function with exposure mode, but you can override it and assign to control it: ISO, exposure compress, focus or stepd zoom.
Port and flash

The V1 for the video has both MIC and Headphone sockets and can accept the selection of canon microphones through a connection to its multi-function hot shower.
This shoe can also be used to attach external flashguns, as it is mainly designed for Vlogging, V1 has an in-lens shutter that allows it to sync with flash in all the way until 1/2000 second Max mechanical shutter speed.

The other major feature from the point of view of photography is that V1 can capture full raw files. As we have a habit of looking at recent canon, you have an option of raw, harmful-composed C-R or dual pixels raw.
Dual Pixel Raw Camera’s partition protects information from both parts of the pixel, it is used to detect a deep conscious phase from its entire sensor area. In practice we have rarely found that dual pixel raws are worth the additional storage space, and this is a feature that has been dropped by the choice of EOS R5 II and R6 II, so we are surprised to see it again here.
If you do not want to shoot a raw, the camera gives the option of JPEG or HDR photo for playback on a high-dynamic-range display as a 10-bit heife.
Lens and rolling shutter

The 16–50 mm equiv-4.8–4.5 lenses have a equivalent aperture range of F4.0-8.8 in full-frames, if you want to get some ideas about image quality, low-light performance and depth-field, it will give it. It gives a distinct lead on Sony Zv-1 mark II, the most direct comparable wide-angle Vlogging Compact on the market: Sony’s lens does not go widely, reaches a maximum of 18 mm equivilum, and its F1.8-4 aperture is equal to F4.9-10.9 in terms of full-feme. So the canon should be able to offer better image quality in both good light and poor.
Sony’s stacked sensor has a faster readout compared to V1, so it will perform low rolling shutters. We are not yet able to measure the speed of the canon, but its close relationship for the EOS R7 sensor shows that it will not be super-fasted.

Sadly, we have not been able to get any details when we are available in America or Europe. But we feel that its announcement for the Asian market was brought forward so that it could be displayed here in Yokohama.
Powershot V1 will not be available anywhere by the end of April, so there is still a lot of time to announce the rest of the world before the camera hit the shelves. We expect to hear more, in which we can get a shootable example, soon, so please remain.
