Homeowner request. Designer Tara Lenny says, “Customers wanted the 1990s bathroom to feel more luxurious and harmonious without a full layout reconstruction, so that it could help save on the budget.” “The owners of the house requested a quiet, elevated retreat with better lighting, more practical storage and updated finish – something that felt special, but still worked for real life. We agreed to refresh within the current footprint, while maximizing the style and working with modern materials and better cabinet.”
Bathtub setup. “One should be one for this homeowner with a bathtub,” says leny. “She uses it regularly and likes what she makes.
Lenny used Hauz Pro Software on this project. “It is our main platform for proposals and invoices,” she says.
Other special features. Marble tile flooring in a herringbone pattern. Handmade-rolled wall tiles in a vertical stacked pattern that emphasize the height of the room. “Generally we reduce glass block windows, but in this case the original window had a brass trim details on it, which we really like, so we opted to keep this feature,” Lenny says. , Vanity cabinetry A warm stained white oak has a custom, which adds heat to the white tanwala room to give it some soul and feels cool. ,
Designer tip. “Get creative with the cabinet,” says leeni. “We placed the layout of this bathroom in the same way, but storage and camouflage used long towers to maximize funny wall angles. We increased the height of cabinets to match the owners of our long home. Cabinets Earlier there were 32 inches and we lifted them up to 36 inches. We did not have a great place for towel holders on the wall of the vanity, so we chose that double as towel holders to choose a large cabinet and have an unexpected large -scale touch. ,
“Uh-oh” moment. The “greatest ‘uh-oh’ moment was in a hurry in the process of the space plan when we realized that we could not move plumbing without much more wide renovation-and to blow up our budget,” Lenny. “This meant that we had to create every bit of existing layout work and rebuild the design within those obstacles. It disguised as a blessing. The fixed layout pushed us to get more creative with physical pair, light and styling, and the final place feels thoughtful, comfortable and high.”
