Reconsider your rugs
There are times in the life of any dog when they have an accident that can make a mess on one of your rugs. Is your floor covered for a challenge?
If you have a dog-free area in your house, you can go crazy there with a woven silk or a valuable ancient kilim. If not, consider how you can clean the stains from the surface of your floor and choose accordingly.
A washedable cotton rug is ideal, and wool is extremely rigid and stained. Heavy texture or nated floor coverings, such as coars or sisles, may prove to be impractical with a hound in the house.
