size: 169 sq ft (16 square meters); 13 to 13 feet
Homeowner request. Designer Sara Montgomery says, “The homeowner loved to bake, host and gather friends and the kitchen was one of the most important places in their house.” “The original kitchen was the same layout, but the cabinets were in bad shape. Our customer’s goal was a kitchen that was excited to encourage them every day, some unexpected and who talked to their artistic eye. The customer did not want a specific island. Instead they wanted a driven expansion table in the center or to use the parties of dinner.”
Cabinet color. Pale Purple (Muscoka Dusk by Benjamin Moore). “Since the kitchen is part of an open concept, the design needs to be strong as functionality,” Montgomery says. “As a color lover, our customer loved the idea of colored cabinets and we landed on this shadow of Mouve. The industrial bones of the space are softened by color, which only provides the right amount of contrast. A final detail was a winding open cold on the shore of the cabinets, which softened the edge and infection in the living location.”

Designer tip. Says Montgomery, “Paneling made the fridge and dishwasher feel less utility by softening the look of equipment,” says Montgomery.
Uses Montgomery Hauz Pro software. “We use Hauz Pro for Project Management,” she says. “We use selection boards to upload our goods and send them to our customer for an easy approval process and so they have access to all the necessary details. We also use Hauz Pro to send proposals. We share client dashboard. So they have easy reference to their boards and documents all the time.

Place: Greenville, South Carolina
size: 392 sq ft (36 square meters); 14 to 28 feet
Homeowner request. Designer Rochel Grass says, “After staying in their delightful neighborhood for 20 years, the couple chose to renew the entire first floor of their dated home instead of leaving their dear friends.” “They host 75 people at a time and are the centers of their neighborhood. We drafted a completely new floor plan, transferred the kitchen in the opposite direction of the house, built open flows in common areas, built a bathroom couple, equipped with home and much more. It is now a place where they like to rest and enjoy the company.”
Cabinet color. “My customer loves green, so I knew that Sherwin-Viliums Okomos was a winner for some cabinetry,” Grass says. “I balanced this vivid color with other cabinets and neutral stones and warm wood in the floor.”
Other special features. “We built rooms around a custom range that keeps the kitchen in the center,” is called grass. “It is a beautiful architectural feature as well as a practical place that keeps all your spices and oils during cooking.”
Designer tip. “There are always three words to describe how you want to feel your location,” says grass. “These customers wanted classic, comfortable and huge.”
After the completion of this project, the grass started using the Hauz Pro. “I wish I knew about Hauz Pro for this project,” she says. “Being a 3D floor planner would have been ideal for sharing a new floor plan with these customers. Place: Brookline, Massachusetts
size: 193 sq ft (18 square meters); 10 feet, 6 inch 18 feet, 4 inch
Homeowner request. Designer Jasmine Lee says, “The current kitchen was a classic white shaker style – clean but now the owners of the house were not aligned with personal taste or lifestyle.” “They wanted something more modern, with a fresh look, which still felt hot and invited during being highly functional. By resuming the layout and including smart storage solutions, we maximized functionality. Warm colors and natural materials replaced Stark White, causing Stark White, causing depth and personality to come to the kitchen.”
Cabinet color. Jewel-tone blue (sapphire hidden by Benjamin Moore), paired with rich walnuts. “Painted cabinets bring a bold, modern personality in space, while walnuts add heat and grounding natural textures,” Lee says. “The upper walnut cabinets have the facility of ribbed glass fronts, which add interest, allows a glimpse of the dishware and keep the look lighter than all the doors. The cabinet is pronounced with brush brothers hardware, which combines everything together with luxury and heat touch, which balances both bold color and dark wood.”
Other special features. Soft gray stone countertops and backplash. “The tone is cool and elegant, providing a cool surface that balances the prosperity of the cabinet,” Li says. “The subtle pattern of the stone adds depth without competing with boulder cabinet colors.”
Designer tip. “My favorite design technique is to start with the zone – define how each part of the kitchen will be used – and then creating specific storage and functionality within those areas,” Lee says. “For example, if a customer prefers to bake, we determine the best place for mixer and all coordinating materials, so everything is within access. By starting with the zone, we highlight where the storage is really needed, how the kitchen will work and how will the chronic layouts end.”

Homeowner request. Designer Kelly Vicers says, “The kitchen was very closed and small.” “There was no storage. Cabinetry did not match and was pieced together for years. They originally wanted to connect behind their house. We presented two designs, stay in one footprint and one other than one. The owner of the house selected to stay in the footprint based on the design, as it allowed for an open kitchen with a more location or better place.”
Cabinet color. Azian Chaiti by Benjamin Moore. “This vibrant Chaiti was chosen Match the excited personality and color love of the owner of the house, “Vicers says.” We wanted a unique form specific for her bungalow-style house. Brass hardware and light fixtures pop on these colored cabinets. ,
Wilters say that she uses Hauz Pro Software for all its projects. “I use it as a platform for sourcing, proposal, project management, sourcing tracking and scheduling.”
Other special features. Ultracampact stone-look countertops (awakened by deckton). Says Vicers, “Underapping cream subway tiles bring an organic texture to the backplash space, united countertops with upper cabinets.” “Stacking in a vertical offset makes a contemporary form, while still feeling traditional for the house. The menstrual buffet in the peninsula makes the combination heat and allows both places to have a sense of belonging. We also added oak floors.”

Designer: K Adair Witmer Atmosphere by adire
Place: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
size: 160 sq ft (15 square meters); 10 feet, 6 inch 15 feet, 3 inch
Homeowner request. “The customer, a virgin, prefers to cook, but was a very old and disabled kitchen made of very few cabinets, a huge radiator a corner, a chronic range, a sink cabinet that covered a window and several obstacles,” designer adire witmer. “He wanted to update the room to feel a Mediterranean with enough storage and performance places for his cooking collection.”
Cabinet color. “I chose two opposite colors of the cabinet because I wanted the cabinets to go to the roof and all look monotonous in one color,” says Vitmer. “I found a simple shaker-style cabinet with thin rail and styles in a beautiful blue color for the base cabinets and wood. To break the run of the cabinet, I made some designs to stack a 36-inch stack with a 12-inch class glass cabinet. I added floating shelters to display my contour.
Other special features. “Granite counters and backplash were used to bridge blue and wood and provide a shostopper when you walk in the kitchen,” Vitmar says. “Simple LVT (luxury vinyl tile) was used on the floor that supplemented space without attracting attention.”
Designer tip. “I believe in breaking the runs of cabinets with floating shelves and glass cabinets and making a statement with backplash,” Vitmar says. “I always have light on the demeres and emphasize under and in-cabinet lighting to make the ultimate in the atmosphere.”
