knocked out The story centers on up-and-coming journalist Alison (Katherine Heigl) who becomes pregnant after a drunken one-night stand with irresponsible slacker Ben (Seth Rogen). Rather than raise the child alone, Alison decides to give Ben a chance to prove that he is worthy of being a father and the two question whether they will be lifelong partners.
