CFL is here in a regular-season week 9, which has a slate of four interdivision games. Calgary and Ottawa will renew an old rivalry in the capital of the country, Toronto and Vinypeg will play in the second half of one house-house, Hamilton and Edmonton will spread in the battle of teams leading in opposite directions, and will pit the top crime of the league against the top defense of the Suskechen and Montreal League.
Calgary-based reporter Ryan Balentine still has a narrow lead on our straight-up standing, while Regina-based reporter Brendon McGir has a commanding lead in our pics against the spread. Below CFL has our pics for the week 9.
Thursday, July 31: Calgary Stampeders at Ottawa Redblack (-3.5) at 7:30 pm
Former NFL Travelman PJ Walker will start his first career CFL due to a head injury with Vernon Adams Junior. The receipt of Calgary will be limited as the team placed Jalen Filpot and Damian Alford on the injured reserve this week, along with Regi Begelton and Clarke Barns, Tavin Jones and Dominic Rhymes were left as only two perfect veterans in the lineup. Redblacks are going to the other direction as Quarterback Drew Brown, receiver Bralon Edison, aggressive lineman Peter Godbar, and defensive back CJ Colden, who are ready to return from the sick bay.
Abbut: Separating its NFL credentials, PJ Walker has so far impressed me. This can be a break that Ottawa is needed.
Straight-Up: Ottawa. Against spread: Ottawa.
Balentine: There is a lower half team against Ottawa Run and is still out with Adams, Alford, Philopot and Barns, Stampders can make their way for a tight win.
Strait-up: Calgary. Against spread: Calgary.
Philoso: Redblacks are usually not coming out of a goodbye, but they are strongly in the winning field. Without VA, I am not sure how much muster can the crime of Calgary.
Straight-Up: Ottawa. Against spread: Ottawa.
Gasan: Ottawa is desperate and defeat is a big thing for Vernon Adams Junior Calgary.
Straight-Up: Ottawa. Against spread: Ottawa.
Herera-Varzara: Redblack is in frustration mode while PJ Walker has not yet proved anything in the league.
Straight-Up: Ottawa. Against spread: Ottawa.
Hodge: This is a win for redblacks and the PJ walker has not seen fast action.
Straight-Up: Ottawa. Against spread: Ottawa.
Hoskins: The change in QB shows the power that brings VA Stampaders. Ottawa becomes another W.
Straight-Up: Ottawa. Against spread: Ottawa.
Clean: No VA will be a problem for Calgary, but their defense should be enough to win them over the struggling Redblack.
Strait-up: Calgary. Against spread: Calgary.
Mcguire: In quarterbacks it is difficult to imagine tickets winning a road game with PJ Walker with anyone winning a road game. Their protection is great but not He Great!
Straight-Up: Ottawa. Against spread: Ottawa.
Thomas: Calgary recalled her quarterbacks, there would be a difference here.
Straight-Up: Ottawa. Against spread: Ottawa.
Total straight-up: Ottawa 8, Calgary 2.
Yoga against spread: Ottawa 8, Calgary 2.
Friday, August 1: Toronto Argonauts Vinypeg Blue Bombers (-3) at 8:30 pm EDT
Zach Collaros will not play for blue bombers due to neck injury this week, leaving the Chris Strever as a promised starter. The team experienced a match of Déjà Vu last week when Nick Arbakal separated its secondary and Zach Collaros threw several interception while fighting an injury – everything in the gray cup of last year. Vennipag’s pass Rush came alive last week, five sacks, although Argonats won a turnover battle with a margin of 7–1.
Abbut: Bombers are in bad size. It is still not bad enough to leave the third game for Nick Arbakal.
Straight-Up: Vinypeg. Against spread: Vinypeg.
Balentine: The bombers are now apparently CFL’s “Sev It” team after Labor Day.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Philoso: Argos is feeling himself right now and that spread is directly derogatory.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Gasan: It is a wild spread that is considered all things. Argos is the cryptonite of Vinypeg when things are going well, and they are not yet.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Herera-Varzara: I do not understand how blue bombers are favorite in this one. I think Toronto will maintain the speed of construction.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Hodge: I am only tired of taking blue bombers, which makes me look like a stupid.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Hoskins: Bombers are struggling to perform and Toronto has done well.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Clean: Last week, bombers looked rough, and their injuries were deteriorated. Argonats keep rolling speed.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Mcguire: It does not matter who the quarterback to Argos – they are the owners of a secret recipe just to defeat Vinnipag.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Thomas: A path cannot be found without the back path of Vinypeg Toronto and without collaros, life will not be easy.
Strait-up: Toronto. Against spread: Toronto.
Total straight-up: Toronto 9, Vinypeg 1.
Yoga against spread: Toronto 9, Vinypeg 1.
Saturday, August 2: Hamilton Tiger-Cat Admonton Elks (+4.5) at 3:00 pm EDT
Tiger-Cats are the hottest team in CFL-they have won five straight games-while Bo Levi Mitchell became the most outstanding front-winner with 15 touchdown passes and only three interception. Elks showed some signs of progress last week after Alks made a change from Codi Fazardo to Train Ford, although the team was still able to produce only 18 points. Meanwhile, defense is rank near the lower part of the league in almost every statistical category.
Abbut: CFL vs. League’s hottest crime in the worst defense? It can be ugly.
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Balentine: Bo Levi Michelle is fed on the Edmonton Squad as he had Peach Faz on his cheek.
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Philoso: It does not matter who Elks puts in quarterbacks, neither can any of those people keep it with Bow and the company.
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Gasan: Tickets are rolling.
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Herera-Varzara: Tiger-Kat will be a sixth straight. I do not see how alks can be away with a win.
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Hodge: Tiger-Cat is on a heater.
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Hoskins: I choose Edmonton … to lose.
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Clean: Hamilton is currently better in football than adamonton.
Straight-Up: Hamilton against Spread: Hamilton
Mcguire: The tickets will roar and therefore will be in a boom-back game to Keni Lallor.
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Thomas: To quote the extracts, “Tickets are hummins.”
Strait-up: Hamilton. Against spread: Hamilton.
Total straight-up: Hamilton 10, Edmonton 0.
Yoga against spread: Hamilton 10, Edmonton 0.
Saturday, August 2: Suskchewan Rafriders at Montreal Alouetts (+2.5) Edt at 7:00 pm
Refleries are bringing the top crime of CFL in Montreal, where they will complete the defense of the top rank, which means something. The Trevor Harris was sensational in the month of July, throwing six touchdowns and for a interception, while Montreal defeated heavy stampders on the strength of five field balls from Jose Maltos last week. McLeod Bethel-Thompson will make the fourth start of the season for aloetes in place of the injured Davis Alexander.
Abbut: Bethel-Thampson Field will lead the goal drive. The Trevor will secure Harris touchdown.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Balentine: The field goal will not be sufficient this week.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Philoso: Montreal is always a difficult place to play, but Suskechewan is perfect on the road so far this season. I think the line continues.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Gasan: This will probably not be an excellent work, but the riders will get a way.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Herera-Varzara: The field goal this week will not be sufficient against a well -balanced Suskechewan team. Bethel-thompson will continue to progress but it will not be enough.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Hodge: Riders Now! It should be done against a top defense.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Hoskins: The riders are looking for ways to win but Bethel-Thampson will keep it closer.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against propagation: Montreal.
Clean: It has not always been beautiful, but the riders win. It continues this week.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Mcguire: For one time, the rider is found to visit Montreal without spoiling by the schedule-makers.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Thomas: This is a week’s matchup for me. Montreal is a hard green at home, but the riders have been very good.
Straight-Up: Suskechewan. Against the spread: Suskechewan.
Total straight-up: Suskechewan 10, Montreal 0.
Yoga against spread: Suskechewan 9, Montreal 1.
