The 2025 CFL regular season’s week 9 has come and has gone. Before we arrive in the week 10, there will be two divisional matches and two interdivational matches, let’s take a look at standout artists, plays and games from the first week.

Week aggressive player: REC Demonte Caxi, Toronto Argonats
The 28-year-old is now the chief receiver of CFL after the second head head against Vinypeg. Special Teams Player of the Week: KR Tray Vaval, Vinypeg Blue Bomes
Minnesota was a prominent against the miscreant Argonauts out of the state, CFL became the 17th player in history to record two returns in the same game. The first score of Vaval came on the 93-yard kickoff return in the first quarter, followed by a 97-yard pant return touchdown in the second quarter. Only two members of Blue Bombers have ever recorded two kick returns touchdowns in the same game: Vaval and Janarian Grant.

Breakout Player of the Week: KR Tray Vaval, Vinypeg Blue Bomes
The 24 -year -old has officially placed the league on notice as he now sits in the first pant return yard and the third in the kickoff return yard. Vaval has also seen spot duty in the cornerback-he replaced a bench Markwis Bridge two weeks ago, then last week an injured Jamal Parker-but is clearly proving himself to be an inter-producer in the return game. It would not be surprising if the opponents began to get away from it, as Toronto started participating through the previous week’s game.

Week aggressive line: Hamilton Tiger-Cat
Brendon Bordner, Brandon Revenbberg, Culter Woodmanse, Liam Dobson and Quinton Bairo’s unit was excellent against Edmonton, which allowed only one sack and helped Bow Levi Michelle to throw Michelle for 350 yards and three touchdowns. Hamilton had a good day with the ground because Greg Bell ran 13 times for 55 yards and a touchdown. This is the second direct week that Tiger-Cat has won the award.

Montreal’s defense entered the week 9, which allows yards per game and riders burnt them for 34 points. Trevor Harris threw 289 yards and two for touchdowns, while AJ Ooulette, Mario Anderson, and Tommy Stevens combined for 135 rushing yards and a score. Suskechewan seated league standing above 7–1 and Mark Muller’s crime is one of the main reasons.

Best Game of Week: QB Trevor Harris, Suskechewan Reforridrs
This is one of the most beautiful touchdown pass you will see in all the season. Kisen Johnson ran a magnificent wheel route from the boundary slot, but Trevor Harris did not take the ball out fast, taking advantage of its separation on top. Instead of trying to lead Johnson up-field, the receiver took the receiver out of the back of the end, Harris thrown the ball on his back shoulder and Johnson made a brilliant adjustment to the ball. Bravo.

The worst game of the week: QB MCLEOD BETHEL-Thampson, Montreal Alouettes
In the third quarter of Saturday’s game in La Belle province, McLeod Bethel-Thampson directly threw a wrong pass on the chest of Suscachewan defensive back nailson locombo. Instead of making a blockage, the previous first round pick allowed the ball to bounce with his hands, then hit the ground to do 10 pushups as punishment. This was a terrible game for both players. Best Game of Week: Toronto Argonauts in Vinypeg Blue Bombers
It was far away from the best playing game that you all would see the season but it was extremely entertaining. With several aggressive touchdowns, defensive touchdowns, and touchdowns of special teams, it was an action-pack match up that came down until the last minute because Blue Bombers fought to put the game in front of a domestic crowd. It was the only game of the week that was close and did not include the delay of weather.
Honorable Mention: Hamilton Tiger-Cat in Edmonton Elks
Worse Sports of Week: Calgary Stampders in Ottawa Redblack
It was a relatively sloppy game and did not seem that the former NFL traveler PJ Walker was ready for Primatime as he had thrown 273 yards, a touchdown and three for interception of disadvantages. Injuries did not help in the obtained duct of Calgary, either, because they struggled to hold on their strong-script throw. The only fan thrilled with this game was in R-Nation as the team lost the skid after losing four-game.
Honorable Mention: Suskechewan Rafarrs in Montreal Uluts
