The weeks 15 of the 2025 CFL regular season have come close to push their playoffs with Toronto, showing signs of life, strangling the first place in the Hamilton East Division, and Lions making a drama for the third in the West Division. Before we arrive in the week 16, let’s take a look at standout artists, plays and games from that first week.

Week aggressive players: REC Tyson Philopot, Montreal Alottes
Outside the University of Calgary East-Dore Pick was a career day at the Mosaic Stadium, brought to light for nine catches for 238 yards and two touchdowns. Filmot did not get closer to setting a new single-game Ulouts record-Hail Patterson recorded 338 yards in a game in 1956-but it was still one of the best performances that we have seen from the CFL receiver this century. After remembering six games due to a knee injury earlier this year, Philipot is back with a vengeance.
Honorable Mention: QB MCLEOD BETHEL-Theampson, Montreal Alouettes
Defense of Week: DL Matthew Bates, BC Lions
The most outstanding defensive player of the former CFL entered with only four sacks this week, but doubled that clan into only one outing, bringing Dustin Krum down four times. Bats are now tied with eight sacks to the league-Leide, binding them with fellow Canadian Edge Rashar Isaac Edemy-Beglund. The Laval Université product remains shy 10 sacks of its single-year career-high, but it can still reach the total if it keeps bringing the quarterback down in a handful of quarterbacks.
Honorable Mention: DL Derek Parish, Toronto Argonats
Special Teams Player of the Week: K Lirim Hazrullahu, Toronto Argonats
Experienced Kicker went for three-three on a field goal against Elks, killing the 53-yard on the final game of the first half and the 48-yard game-winner on the final game of regulation. Hazrullahu also went on converts for two and reached four kickoffs at a distance of 62.8 yards. St. Catherine, 35 -year -old native of Onts. Now this season has made 37 -to -41 field goals for 90.2 percent this season.
Honorable Mention: K Louis Ward, Ottawa Redblack
Breakout Player of the Week: LB Joel Dublong, Edmonton Elks
The former first-over CFL draft pick has been playing well for a few weeks, so it is only appropriate that we recognize it with this award. Dablanco recorded five defensive tackles and a sack against Argonauts as part of a major defensive effort, with Edmonton recorded six techs and three sacks. The University of Cincinnati product entered Nyles Morgan and Nick Anderson in the early lineup after injuries and did not allow Linebacking Corps to remember a beat.
Honorable Mention: RB Stevy Scott III, Montreal Alouets
The aggressive line of the week: Montreal alouettes
Nick Collender, Pier-Olivier Lestage, Justin Lawrence, Doni Ventralie, and Jamar McGolster’s unit was excellent against Suskeschewan, which allowed zero sacks against a difficult defensive front and the Stavee Scott III helped run 19 times for 125 yards. This is the first time that Montreal’s aggressive line has been recognized at this place this season, but the unit was fantastic, paving the way for 530-yard performance from crime.
Honorable Mention: Hamilton Tiger-Cat
Week coaches: HC Jason Mass, Montreal Ulouts
Alouettes entered the week 15, losing five-half of the game, but won 48–31 with Rafridrs in Regina. MAAS has its fingerprints in the crime of the team and the unit was excellent despite the franchise quarterback Davis Alexander due to a hamstring injury. Now 6-7, Montreal still has a clear way to earn a home playoff game in the East Division.

Best Game of Week: Justin Hardy, Ottawa Redblack
The experienced receiver held nine passes for 100 yards and what was a touchdown and a score in the loss of Ottawa to BC. Hardy flew through the wind towards the sideline and turned to a pass from Dustin Krum, although he initially appeared to get out of the border. On reviewing from the Replay Center, the play was ruled by a touchdown when it was clear that Hardy was successful Now! Tap its right leg on in-bounds before landing on the white bandage.

Week’s worst game: OL David Beard, Edmonton Alks
The center of Edmonton recalled Blitz delayed from Toronto Lineback Aaron KC, helping Derek Parish Bori Kodi Fazardo and forced the experienced quarterback to Fambal. Beard had the first chance to jump on a loose ball, but actually pushed it closer to the last region of his team. The defensive end Andrew Chatfield Junior again scored the ball and returned it to a touchdown, leading to a 28–27 lead, with more than three minutes left to play.
Honorable Mention: Hamilton left Karik Wheatfall for a touchdown
Best Game of Week: Edmonton Elks in Toronto Argonots
It was not the best game of the week, but it was definitely best from an entertainment point of view. Throughout the afternoon there was a large spite of smack between the two teams, which Ryan concludes at a loud postgame festival at DinwidiAnd late drama with three lead changes in the last four minutes. These were two desperate teams who were looking to keep their playoff hopes alive and both club scratches and bitter ends.
Honorable Mention: Montreal Ullates in Suskechewan Reforridrs
The worst game of the week: Winnepeg Blue Bomes in Hamilton Tiger-Cat
The in-game tribute to the late Ted Govia at the Hamilton Stadium was fantastic, but the on-field action was the best middle. Winnipag struggled to get anything aggressively with Chris Strewler under the Center, while Tiger-Cats placed things conservatively aggressively, while feasting on takeaways. Blue Bombers massaged some scoreboard late in the game, but the matchup never felt in doubt as Hamilton led double digits in the fourth quarter.
Honorable Mention: Ottawa Redblack in BC Lions
