Aerial photography and videography community Skypixel has announced the winners of their 10th annual competition. This year’s competition attracted thousands of participants, who submitted more than 140,000 entries from all over the world. While the competition is traditionally open to aerial photos and videos, a handheld video category was added this year, opening submissions for more than only air shots.
The competition features both photo and video categories, with two best video award winners – for aerial and for a handheld – and one best photo award winner. Additionally, the Skypixel competition selects top 10 videos and photo winners. There is also a “nominated entry” category (People’s Choice Award) with five video and five photo winners.

2025 Annual Best Video Award (Hawai): War – My Change Tour By Bashir Abu Shakra
Directed by Bashir Abu Shakra, War – My Change Tour Uses stunning air shots to tell its story of loneliness, leading to self-cushion. The project was shot in eight countries including China, Venezuela, Italy and more during five years. Shakra objectively chose each landscape to fit the song with songs, which was aimed at using the opposite between songs and scenes, to show how nature helped them overcome their struggles.
Judge Comments: Claudio Miranda said, “The initial shot is really captivating, its long duration, the beautiful camera movements and the calm beauty of the day’s time. The composition is particularly notable. It is one of my favorite, and the overall quality is extraordinary,” said Claudio Miranda.
“War is a commendable film. Landscape photography is never a simple record, and every shot taken by this cinematographer is refined, accurate and captivating. Angles, light all show their perseverance and firmness. This is a film where technology and producer’s internal vision is highly alignment. I really prefer to end.”

Judge Comments: Sam Newton said, “The use of sound design and movement in this film was not from anyone to another, the most surprising manner was capturing the essence of Japan.
“Japan travel is a task rich in visual elements, combining both motion and peace without any meaning of chaos, Henry controlled the speed of the film, with a clean ton and accurate, appropriate exposure control, which integrates all elements completely. It is a highly sophisticated and harmful piece,” Chenu Jean said.
