In meditation practice sometimes a bell is used as a reminder so that your attention can be paid here and now. Create a list of some things that you do several times each day, and choose one of them to use as your own version of the attention bell. This can be anything, until it is something you do often – adjust the colors of the window, wash your hands, put a glass of water, check your email. Whenever you find yourself about doing that thing, take a moment to stop, breathe and be present.
