Giving a book for free can seem like a strange decision. After all, writing a book is a month’s job – broadcasting, doing research, writing, editing and refining. Then there is effort that goes to design the layout, select images and ensure that the final product is something worth reading. So when I could sell it, why do you overcome it?
Well, this question has been asked a lot since launching me Necessary landscape photography skills As a free resource, and the answer is very simple: I wanted to give back. In addition, I had to make this book in the first place, which was born from my articles and videos, which I wrote Fostoppers And published on YouTube.
A book born with experience
Over the years, I have the privilege of traveling to some of the most incredible scenarios to capture several moments. I have messed up things at different times in my journey, and it is pleasant to share the way I have learned. I have always believed that photography is something that you learn best – to be out in the field, make mistakes and find out what works. But at the same time, a bit of a structured approach can be a game-chain.
This is where this book came. It started with me Necessary landscape photography skills The video series, where I broke the basic principles of landscape photography into practical, easy-to-folk lessons. The goal was to help photographers of all levels, which were improving their skills without eliminating things. The reaction to that series was incredible, and I realized that there was a real need for a resource that brought all these concepts together at one place – something that photographers could refer back to, whether they were on their journey.
How to Necessary landscape photography skills Was born. It is a book packed with knowledge, tips and insight, designed to be accessible and useful for anyone who wants to take better landscape photos. This has terminated 62 pages in total, and I think something is beneficial for each one.
Why free?
Photography has given me a lot – experience, a career that I like, and a magnificent community of those who share my passion. Over the years, I have learned a lot from others, whether through workshops, online materials, or simply chatting with fellow photographers in the area. Many stomachs not to mention laughter, accident, unprecedented situations and places shared by us. I wanted to do something that contributed to that community in a meaningful way.
By freeing this book, I am hoping that more and more people improve their skills and enjoy photography. Whether you have been starting now or shooting for years, I want this book to be something that makes a difference in your journey.
