Lewis Hamilton Emilia Romagna Grand Prix is compared to her sprint race win in Shanghai. The seven -time world champion came from 12th on the grid to finish fourth in Emola.
“There are tones of positivity,” Hamilton explained. “The strategy was fantastic, they made brilliant calls, and did not do a leg wrong, the car felt like China when I was actually aligned with the car – and then only the second time today, as if I really felt that coordination.
“The set-up was very good, and we improved the race and unlocked our ability. If we were highly qualified, we would be fighting for a podium, which I did not think it was possible.
“The whole thing was entertaining, obviously the beginning was not spectacular, but a decent beginning and it was squeezed and lost the ground. Mercedes (Km Antoneli of). I was just waiting there, and I had to be patient, but the strategy started coming out, and the car survived on medium tires.
“I have always loved when you are fighting back from back and coming through it, thus I started in Rai House as a child. It is a better feeling than starting and finishing first, but of course, it was a mega race and there are many positive to pick it up.”
