This journey goes to the tipi top and offers the angles that cannot be the longest trippai. If you are a person who needs versatility in your light tripod, then it is for you.
Travel tripods are devices that play an important role for photographers who take photography seriously while walking. They have a unique task of being enough for more and more different tasks while being portable and easy to carry. The purpose of this new journey of Ulnaji is to serve that purpose and more.
Ulanzi Glidego JJ05 Travel Tipi

Ulnaji Glidego Series Two travel tripods are included. JJ05 comes with a ball head that is ideally still designed for photography, while JJ06 comes with a portable video head for moving videographers and content creators.
Glidego JJ05 is a 5-section carbon fiber trippai with aluminum joints and locks. When folded completely, it measures only 470 mm (18.50 in), which is slightly longer than a minimum height of 410 mm (16.14 in). When the leg sections are fully expanded, the tripod reaches a height of 1,380 mm (54.33 in) and the two-step center can proceed to 1,840 mm (72.44 in) due to the facility. However, it is important to consider the difference in stability with a high center of gravity when using this feature with heavy camera and lens setup.
Each of the carbon fiber leg section is combined with a muted dark green accent by mechanized aluminum clip lock. These clip locks are curved to follow the contour of cylindrical carbon fiber rods for a smooth and more comfortable grip. The most proximal leg section is a leg angle release tab that allows the legs to take a broad configuration for a low angle shooting and/or obtain a comprehensive basis.
One of the corners of the central joint of the tripod is a knob that unlocks the main center column height for adjustment. The other two remaining corners are named 1/4-inch screw threads, which have two locking pin ports for additional accessories through friction weapons and other compatible equipment. Above it is a small knob that controls the 360-degree panning movement of the entire ball head. However, when the center column is fully set, this knob is in the way of the speed limit, for which the center column must be about half an inch high to get a full rotation axis.
The pan is another knob above the knob that unlock the second stage of the center column, which can be completely separated from the first phase. When the knob turns on the side, it allows the second stage to be converted to achieve a more horizontal position. With this configuration, the user can shoot downwards with the lens that is a table for vertical or an elevated surface on the ground such as flat lase and overhead shots.
These locks and turning points have an inverted style ball head that is controlled by another curved clip lock that wraps around the body of the head. Above it is another knob for a more controlled panning motion that is independent of the legs and central joint levels. Above it is a button that allows for quick release of the camera mounting plate.
Glidego Tripods use Ulanzi’s UKA Quick Release System. This class uses growing plates that are compatible with other Arca-SWISS quick release clamps. However, the QR clamp on the head of the tripod is compatible with only square UKA plate and a similar -shaped Falcim F38 Quick Release Plate. Although this provides great convenience in growing and releasing the camera quickly on the trippai, it is important to note that other cameras will not work with growing plates glido tripods.
Application
Due to the five-section leg construction, this tripod is capable of achieving a very short turned length, while still capable of increasing the camera to a significant height. This makes the tripod easy to pack on the side or bottom attachment loops of the camera bag – or possibly inside the bag when there is enough room. Despite this, the weight of 1.56 kg still gives it a strong stance, especially when the center column (S) is not extended. The maximum payload of 5 kg may be lower than other travel tripods, but it can still carry a full frame camera body and a standard size lens very well.
For general use while traveling, this tripod may definitely be more than enough for most shooting scenarios. Whether traveling in an urban setting or as long as hiking is involved, a combination of tipi size and stability can definitely meet the needs of most photographers. It is important to note that using this trippai in a rigid environment, such as heavy air conditions or flowing water, cannot be as safe as it can offer. Otherwise, any cool shooting scenarios can be handled very well by the Glidego tripod.
In addition to the two-step center column, this tripod can actually achieve much higher height than other travel trippai. Quick high-angle shots can definitely be increased to a full-fledged trippai to 1,840 mm-but perhaps not if you are exposed for a long time in an atmosphere of air. Due to the ability to convert to different angles of the secondary center column, the user can be creative with perspective, which can still be quite useful for the shooting of life, food and products on a high platform. Due to low height, when the center column is converted sideways, it does not technically reach an overhead height until the legs are placed at a higher level than the ground. Despite this, the 90-degree (and beyond) the center column angle provides too much flexibility with the camera angle overall.
Ulnaji Glidego jj05 Surely there is a unique and interesting tripod option for photographers and creators that prefer more portable support solutions that may suit their creative needs in shooting. With the video version of this tipi, JJ06, there is definitely a lot in this new tripod line.
