As creators, we are constantly managing raw libraries and heavy high-resolution video clips. first impressions

It was easy to install the drive. Four main 3.5-inch drives use the Belace tray, which simply slide and click on the place. Hardware
The DXP4800 Plus packs some severe punch for its category. It is powered by an Intel Pentium Gold 8505 processor, both performance and efficiency with both the core. This price range was carefully losing while handling interfaces and file operations compared to several NAS units, which often use low-end celeb processor. It comes with 8 GB DDR5 RAM. On the front, you get a rapid USB-C and USB-A port (10 GBPS) and, very easily, a SD card reader (SD 3.0). For direct backup or instance, being able to pop a card directly from my camera in NAS is an interesting workflow enhancement.

DXP4800 Plus runs on Ugreen’s own operating system, UGOS Pro. Ugos Pro is new to well -established systems from veterans like Synology or QNAP. While synthetic benchmarks can show variation based on RAID type and specific workload, practical experience was positive. Sequential readids and right workflows were maximizing my 2.5Gbe connection, while even random 4 KB reads and writes operations at a queue depth of 32 and writes – even without installing NVME SSDs without any NVME SSDs.
If you do not want to jump into 10Gbe (which are surprisingly inexpensive), this example easily prints 10 setups with 4 WD Red Pro 4 TB drive and hits the real-world bandwidth range of 285 MB continuously, which is higher than single-divies and exit with a mixture of about 285 MB/s.
It is possible to edit video projects directly from NAS when using M.2 SSD volume and connects through 10Gbe. It is mainly used to store previous shoots and catalogs for photographers, even connecting it with 2.5Gbe connections provides a solid performance on 1GBE products. For videographers or people requiring maximum speed, pairing it with a 10Gbe switch is unlocked its full capacity, while still very cheap.
conclusion
Ugreen Nasync DXP4800 Plus makes a strong case for itself in the crowded NAS market, especially for material creators. It is powerful hardware, future proof connectivity such as 10Gbe, manufacturer-centered features such as SD card reader and M. 2 slots and an easy setup provides an excellent combination of the process.
While the UGOS Pro operating system is new and its app ecosystem is still growing compared to veterans, it has handled all the file operations that I have firmly thrown during the test, covers the core functions well, and provides a powerful passage for the inclusion of the dock.
