Why are you one when you can have two? This is a question for hotel developers around the world. More and more these days, dual-branded hotel-invariatively two different brands shares the same building and offer two completely different hotel experiences.
A double branded hotel in Los angelsHowever, this hotel reporter has attracted attention as it was first opened a few years ago (and was painted in our list Best New Hotel of 2023): AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles and Moxy Downtown Los Angeles, Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arina were placed in a 37-storey building.
Overall, double-female, Yabu Pushelberg-designed hotels have 727 guest rooms, 12 restaurants, a whole floor dedicated to food and nightlife, and two separate vibes for different types of passengers.
I stayed at night in both hotels and spent working around 8 level 8 on Saturday night, Las vegas-The floor filled with restaurants, bar and nightclub. How is it here – and why should you consider being one of these (or both!) Marriott Bonwoy Properties,

What is the cost of the hotel and how to book
Both Moxy Downtown Los Angeles and AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles starts as $ 184 per night or at least 30,000. Marriott Bonwoy Per numbers per night.
Just note that due to the location of the hotel near the Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena, these rates can make up in the form of major events and the arrival of concerts.
It is like living in Moxy Downtown Los Angeles
Stretch
Moxy is the fickle and commonly inexpensive lifestyle brand of the mariot. Although Moxi has always been a bit towards the cheek, the new recurrence feels more larger, thoughtful and stylish – but without losing the young spirit that threads hotels together. It is thanks to Lightstone, which downtown LA has a growth company behind both AC and Moxi, as well as a similar vibe in places in New York.

Moxy Downtown Los Angeles was inspired by 1969 films “Easy Rider” and The Spirit of Southern California. On entering the lobby, I noticed that the green juicy and a large -scale snake rug dominate the public seating area, unlike the floor of the concrete, where people hung out or worked on a large table. A motorcycle with a sidecar was the star of several guest photographs. The vibe looked differently cool, and I enjoyed spending time in the lobby.
The room

Moxy Downtown Los Angeles has 380 rooms, and even though they fall into some different configurations, they all have uniform beauty and similar characteristics, such as a design-forward TV and clothing hanger holding the hangar of the moxi’s signature to the pegs.
My room was a corner king ignoring the convention center and was measured in about 267 square feet. Large-scale, the windows from floor-to-sixes allow sufficient natural light and sheer and blackout curtains, when necessary, pulled it back to block it (such as a wild night at 8 levels, but later).

Although Moxy rooms are usually small, they offer smart storage solutions, such as under-bed storage and many places to hang clothes.

Moxy Hotel, in general, encourage people to go out of their room and spend time in social places such as lobby. So if you are planning to work inside your room, know that the nightstand doubles as a small desk, but there is a lot of great colleagues at the bottom.

There was a small pride with a bathroom place, a sink, towel and many mirrors in my room, just a sink, far away of the door. The bathroom and shower each had their small, narrow classes.
The hallway leading to the rooms in Moxi was fun carpatting, mirringing the runway of an airport-but with a slight foreign-theem twist. Help in this area-AANT Closetts are also shown to you, where you can catch additional towels and other things, which may be required during a migration.
I loved my corner king room. It was comfortable, clean and very stylish. And the window view from those floors to the roof was icing on the cake.
Bar moxi
In the lobby, the bar is a place to hang the moxi. It is open to coffee, cocktail and food at different times throughout the day. I did not have a chance to eat in the bar Moxi, but the menu consisted of an items such as a thingburger ($ 21), Thai glazed chicken wings ($ 19) and a Buffalo chicken flatbread ($ 21). There were also various cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine, as well as.
Bluestone lane
The Moxy lobby, Bluestone Lane, is associated with a popular Australian coffee series, which is open from 6:30 am to 2 pm, it serves almost any kind of coffee that you can think of a full day menu of plus bowls, toasts, sandwiches and boaritos. Pro Tip: Scan the QR code in your room to order further to leave long morning lines.
This AC Hotel Downtown is like living in Los Angeles
Stretch
While the lobby of the Moxi is located just a far away of the road, checking at her smooth sister hotel requires a visit to a sky lobby on the 34th floor of the building accessed through a separate ground-level entrance, in fact it feels like a completely different hotel. AC hotels are usually designed-forward, often with that kind of pard back, spontaneous style, telling you: “I wish my house looks like this.”
This hotel is no exception.

During the lobby, minimal elements such as elegant potted trees and rock sculptures were a clay chic reminder of various scenarios of California. On one side of the lobby, a library was busy throughout the day with communal seating. The huge walls of windows were also crowded with guests, taking into broad scenes of the city of angles.
The room
I stayed in a corner king room at AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles. Like the lobby, the room was much more silent in the color and design than the neighboring moxi (I realized that two hotels were really connected through a set of disconnected double doors on every floor that you probably would never open).

The room had a small couch in the corner and a small, circular table.
Across the bed, a TV was hung with a chair, a lamp and a writing pad above a large table-a significant departure from the layout of the most social-mind Moxi.

The bathroom area was also minimal, floating on the edge of the sink and mirror, and like the moxi, the shower and the toilet were divided into two rooms with pride.

The room also had a safe, a safe, a basic coffee manufacturer, a hair dryer and a closet with features like a steamer.
The room was comfortable, chic and efficient. I slept well and enjoyed city scenes from my big windows and most, how Los Angeles saw during a dramatic sunset.
AC bar and lounge
Open for breakfast, dinner and late dinner, AC bar and lounge standard hotel restaurant Classics: Caesar Salad ($ 16), a burger ($ 27) and a Spanish cob salad ($ 28), the hotel signature gin and tonic ($ 19) serve with cocktails like ($ 19).
I wrongly assumed that this place would be open throughout the day, so I was disappointed when I went to popped up at around 11 am on Sunday from 11 am to 11 am and felt that I had missed breakfast and the kitchen could not open again till dinner.
La Lo La Roftop

My Sunday brunch option was La Lo La La Rooftop, which was located on the 34th floor and (mostly) was open throughout the day. When the sun is shining and there are some clouds, the visuals alone deserve a trip to a place like table, couch and a completely lounge of one time.
To eat, I filled a delicious California-style breakfast Burito ($ 22) and a smooth blood Mary ($ 19). Avocado- and egg-filled burito was delicious (and dirty, naturally!), But eating it with the couch made me really with those ideas. In fact, I spent a good part of my afternoon marrharits ($ 18) and people looking around the space.
shared facilities

Both hotels share a lot of equipment with a skilled and rather large gym – and incredible scenes – high in hotel.

I also found a CVS vending machine on a floor, in which you wanted almost anything or may have forgotten at home, such as toothpaste, painkiller and more. The region also had a microwave, which may look random but can be easy for guests.

Fully taking eight floors, and with a private entrance from the road, my experience began with a cowboy-theme pool party in Golden Hour (characteristic of a Hindola bar with a pool deck). This set the tone for my Saturday night, including galvantiving between bars and restaurants at Level 8, which is for a spritz and crisp, which is a fresh sushi in rice and crispy to Lucky Mizu for outdoor mother-styles.

Whatever you do, just make sure you visit the sinners Y Santos, which the hotel describes as “Bhag Buped Cathedral, Bhaag Lucha Libra Ring”. Come to cocktails and stay for full-on wrestling ring, which descends over the bar to catch the wrestling of the real-life Libra-style surrounded by bottle service, DJS and a recreational mixture of people coming to various places.

However, the best tip I found was to stop by the Taco truck on the roof, open late night, to catch the mouthwatering tacos to take back to my room.

If clubbing is not your point, you can just go to the restaurants that open before going very crazy. My Sunday’s dinner was in Maison Kasai, a French-Meet-Japanese tapeniki spot Michelin-starred chef Joshua Gill, where you can choose from a tasting menu or was cooked in front of you. While I enjoyed all my heartfelt steaks very much, the real showstopper was a squash blossom appetizer.
Simple use
Both hotel rooms provide access to ADA-Monuction rooms, as well as wheelchairs access to public places, lifts and most bar and restaurant.
TPG always recommends calling the hotel to confirm accessible room types before booking and to ensure that the hotel can accommodate the specific requirements of each guest.
checking out
People can tell you that downtown los angeles is a mixed bag – and it can happen. But you probably will not regret living in any one of these dynamic hotels. Whether you are looking for a trendy lobby filled with hip creative, such as in Moxi, or an elevated, design-forward stay, as AC provides AC, you will be comfortable. And best, with level 8 and all its entertainment offerings, literally in the building, you just have to hop on a lift for a night on a lift that you will never forget.
If I find myself in DTLA again, I will happily book any of the hotels in the world’s most unique double-branded hotel.
